I just had a colonostopy a week ago. I was diagnosed with diverticulous, and I have IBS-D, plus they fond a polyp they removed. The dr. perscribed questran twice a day, along with lactate when I eat dairy and told me to continue taking my fiber which I get from Heather. I love that stuff.
Has anyone else used Questran I seem to be still have a bit of a problem with diaharea and have increased my fiber a bit, hoping that will help
I certainly hope so
Just curious if anyone else has used this product

Nope...sorry, I've never used it. You might do a search for it on Google and see what you can find out about it.

Heya!
Yes, I've used Questran before. It was suppose to help with the D. I found that it was binding me up too much. I wasn't taking any fiber supplements at the time though.
Have you had your gallbladder removed? According to what I've researched about it, Questran is prescribed to people who have gallbladder removed and has bile acid malabsorption. Helps to bind the bile acid to be safely passed through digestive system.

Val, thanks
I have not had my gallbladder removed. the GI told me it is for people who have had their gallblader removed, and to lower chlestral, but they also fund good results from it for helping IBS D. I am increasing my fibe, so hopefully that will make a difference. I will try it for a little while longer and see what happens. I certainly do not want to get constipated either.thanks so much
