I just wanted to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic New Year.

I hope to be regularly back on the boards in the New Year.

Sadly, our last transfer was once again unsuccessful. I will not give up though and already have another one scheduled for Jan 2. A new year, maybe a new beginning?

Brad is recovering though it has been slow. He has been in hospital nearly 3 weeks now and the aim is to be home for Christmas which would be wonderful.

My Father in law was recovering well from his surgery and came home but unfortunately has been re-admitted to hospital now. Again, we dearly hope he can be home for Christmas.

Harrison has handled all of this so well. At 3 years of age he has more courage and stamina than I and is the light of my life.

I wish you all many happy times and most of all good health. We all know how vital that is!

Always,
Kerrie

Merry Christmas, every one! And Happy Hannukah since I know we have a few Jewish friends here, too lol. Ok, I have a question. When a read Kerrie's s/n I know that Oz stand for australia, but why?? Where do you get Oz out of Australia??? lol sorry, that was just a random thought, but it's been bothering me for quite some time!

Merry Christmas to you, Kerrie! And best wishes that the new year is a year of good health, in ALL ways, for you and your family! You do sound positive and strong in your email. I hope that is a reflection of how you are feeling. Harrison will be such fun at Christmas this year - he must really "get it" in a way that he couldn't at 1 and 2 years old. Enjoy every minute! I miss those days with my children. They are a different kind of delight at nearly 15 and 12, but those toddler years are delicious! Have fun and know I am praying that Brad can feel the joy of the season as well.

Hey, Linz! I have an Ozzy (Ausie? )question for you. There used to be an Australian chicken restaurant in Northern California where we used to live that served THE BEST take-out chicken I've ever had. Didn't go over with very many people and ultimately went out of business. I never understood why. The chicken was roasted, such that the fat all dripped off in the process. Yet the chickens (you bought them whole or halved) were moist and extremely well-done. Best chicken I've ever had. Is that what the take-outs are like in OZ?

Bev

lol well Linz, that's what I was thinking, it just confused me since OZ and Aus have none of the same letters lol. Thanks for clearing that up for me!

Not sure about chicken - I'm vege - but in Sydney, the food is superb. They're really into fresh stuff and delicious food.

Was the chicken roasted the French way in a rotiserrie? Before I was vege, I loved this!

I don't know, Linz. I couldn't see. All I know is they promoted the fact that there was no fat at all, it all dripped off in the roasting process. The chickens were very well done, the meat fell off the bone -- they were moist and tender and covered in fresh herbs -- they smelled so good and tasted even better! You could order either a half chicken or a whole and take it home -- or you could sit inside and enjoy the chicken right there. The BEST chicken I've ever had. I tried to figure out what herbs were on there and make my own, but they never came out as good. Our chickens over here are fried -- yuk! My husband calls them "Kentucky Fried Grease."

Bev.

I think you can buy mini rotisserie's. I reckon that's how it would've been done. As the chicken's on a spit, the fat drips off.
