Arghhh. Anyone else have this going around? It's gone around my household like wildfire. ALL five of us. My youngest son has either had this for a week and a half or it has come back! I'm sooo sick of this stuff. I can't rest. Baby won't sleep unless she's on top of DH or me but even then, it's not restful. It really sucks when you're sick but you can't rest because you have to take care of everyone else!

Is it Spring yet?? I'll take allergies over the flu any day! Please...I need sunshine and some warmth on my face!

Why do I live in Michigan?

Got a flu shot in October, so I haven't gotten it. I've been taking care of my BF who had it for a week in Dec. and the last week in January. I'm never skipping a flu shot, ever, EVER if I can help it!! Not seeing what I've seen. Poor sick people.

Sorry to hear about your run with the flu. Hopefully your family gets better soon! I can commiserate with you about the weather. At least there is a little sunshine here in West MI today. Now if it would just stay above 30 degrees for more than a day! I want spring!!!! We're not supposed to be having blizzards in March.

Lauren,

I hope everyone gets over the flu soon! I hope it's warm enough there to open some windows and air out the germs today! It's a beautiful 34 today!! (When it's been -27 for a week, 34 is gorgeous!)

Hugs!

oh boy do I hear you!!!!
I just started working with kids about 7 months ago, and I have caught everything. I had the stomach flu twice and the regular flu twice. NOT FUN! I cannot imagine how hard it must be when your kids get it as well! I'm lucky that my husband stays pretty healthy and has only had the sniffles....
I live in Ohio and we've had 3 snowdays so far...which I will not complain about! *Actually, I had the flu during two of those days!! lol

So stay warm and here's hoping your whole family feels better soon!!

Sorry you and your family are sick. {{{{Get Well Hug}}}}
The "bugs" have been going around our town, too. I had a touch of the stomach flu a couple weeks ago, my MIL has bronchitis, and there are lots of kids staying home sick from our local schools...my husband works at one of them. Thankfully neither of us has been extremely sick. I've got to stay well for at least two more weeks...my 40th birthday is next weekend and my MIL's 80th is the following weekend. I hope my tummy plays fair.

We are having kind of a Spring like day here so I opened up the windows to let the breeze blow some fresh air in the house before it snows again. We are supposed to get snow tonight through Tuesday.

Get well soon!

Nelly,
All three kids got flu shots. And all 3 got it. I'm wondering if we even bother anymore. Like this year, they can't always predict the strain because they start making it about a year ahead of time. Blah...it just sucks. How do I tell my kids next year that they need a flu shot when they got one and still got the flu!?
Phooey..

Thanks, Aly. Sounds like you've had the worst of it! I had the flu bad last year, while I was pregnant. Nothing like sitting in the bathroom with D and a bucket in your lap that you can hardly reach because your belly's so big! Ewww. It was awful. Then I got dehydrated. No picnic. I'm just freaked out about the bugs now. LYSOL!!!!!!!

BTW, we've now had 6 snow days. I sure hope we don't have to make them up in June. That will be a real bummer!

Thanks Toady. I should have opened the windows a bit earlier but when you're waiting on everyone...I suppose it just didn't occur to me. Gotta do that before it gets too cold this eve.

Thanks, Mary. Sometimes I forget you're right around the corner! Yes, it was so nice to see the sun today. I just wanted to go outside today so bad, but there just wasn't an opportunity.

BTW, I hate to remind you but sometimes we still get snow in the beginning of April! I really wouldn't mind winter so much if it was only 2 mo. or so. but it feels more like 6 or 7!!

Oh yuck! That completely stinks. I am so sorry to hear that everyone is sick. We have all had the stomach flu but that was 2 months ago and most recently me about month ago. Ava had a respiratory infection 2 weeks ago and I think Noah has an ear infection now. We just got back today from a water park in Sandusky Ohio called Kalahari. It was sooo much fun and a much needed break. However Noah started complaining about his ear this morning and I tried to put some of those swimmer's ear drops in them and he screamed bloody murder for about a 1/2 hour. Then after some tylenol and a car snooze home he seemed better but the ear still is sore on the outside to touch. I am hoping for snow on tuesday since we have a big storm coming, but I am afraid we will now have to make them up. Oh well. Hope everyone gets better soon at your house!

Chinagrl,
Yep...daycare can really be a bummer sometimes. I remember when my boys were small, they were always bringing home something! Thankfully, there's only one other baby at Serena's daycare so our chances of her catching something are much more slim.

Angela,
That's a bummer. Good for you for taking a break and having some fun. Sounds like a great time. But, that's Murphy's Law, isn't it? Go out, have a good time, then pay for it!

I'm afraid for more snow. With 6 snow days already I'm worried we'll be going really late into the year. Heck, we often still get snow the first week of April so, we're definitely not done with this snow!!
