Welcome Zaba,
You will find more information about peppermint caps on the diet boards. Just search it - there are lots of replies.
I know I have to take pep caps on an empty stomache at least 30 minutes before eating. And then sometimes I still will get reflux from it unfortunately. Definately do not take them with food or it sorta defeats the purpose.
Good luck!

I get bad heartburn, and peppermint causes D attacks for me. Love the taste, hate the effects.
Many people here have found help taking peppermint, tho, and you can't be sure you won't get something from them if you don't try. You'll know right away if you can't take it. I forget I have GERD until I take something that disagrees with me. My heartburn and sore throat go completely away when I stick to my IBS diet.
Good luck! Try some Altoids and let us know how it goes.
