Oh, so it was the "no touch" procedure. There is one clinic here that does that but it costs $1500 per eye!!! Way too much for me - especially when we want to buy a house in the next few months. Congrats on getting it done though!

I so want this! Did you need someone to drive you to the place both times? Do you need to keep your eyes bandaged closed (blind) until the next day?

Do you mind me asking how much it cost? (no worries if this is too personal). It would be so worth the savings of not having to buy glasses, exams, contacts anymore!!

That's awesome! I also wish for a 20/20 vision but I'm too scared, plus my prescription isn't strong enough for me to really want to do something drastic. Congratulations!

very cool... Shane has been talking about doing this for years..... his only fear, IF it does NOT work well for him, he can never wear contacts again after..... he is not big on the glasses..... even though he looks kinda hot in them...hehehe

Congrats...and here is to 20/20!!

I had to have someone drive me home but I drove myself to the follow-up the next morning. No bandages...just silly goggles that I have to sleep in and lots of eye drops for 5 days after the surgery. It was supposed to run $1999 per eye (lovely astigmatism going here) but I paid $1599 per eye because, and I quote "I'm so nice." Well worth it, like you said. No more glasses. I can play sports, work, swim, read, do the dishes without my glasses getting all fogged up. Nice.
