I had Lasik done yesterday morning and I had my follow up appt. this morning. Today's vision test showed that I'm somewhere between 20/15 and 20/10, only 24 hours after the procedure. It can take a full 48 hours to reach 100% of your vision potential so it could get even better than it is now. It's so nice to be able to read and drive w/o glasses. I'm very much looking forward to swimming and working (massage therapy) without glasses as well. Yay me!!!

OMG I SO want to get this done!!! I was actually looking up clinics online yesterday - I go through this phase about every 6 months or so where I start researching it like crazy, but then I chicken out and don't do it. I am so freaked by the thought of a blade touching my eye! Laser, no problem, but a blade - It just gives me the willies. How was the experience for you? Could you feel anything? Were you aware of the blade or anything??

I am so jealous But so happy for you! I am planning on having it done in the next year or so. Did you go to someone in the Sac area?

WOW, that's awesome. I'm so happy for you. That's exciting. I've been blessed with pretty decent eyes but my 8 year old has been wearing glasses since he was 5. We'll see what's in his future. Happy, happy for you!

Great news!! I would LOVE to have it done. My vision is HORRIBLE!! I can't see the end of my nose clearly!
Hope you get the full 20/20!! What freedom from glasses!!

There was no blade, only lasers. You can feel anything except some pressure when they're putting the little contraption on that keeps you from blinking. The procedure itself is about 15-20 seconds of laser per eye. Super easy to do, no pain at all.

I had my follow up yesterday. After 24-ish hours, my vision was between 20/10 and 20/15. Great results! And now my depth perception is spot on! Lights are still a bit bright but it can take a while for that to go away. Nothing too bad, though.

Congratulations! It sounds like it went perfectly!! It may take some time for the glare to reduce but you are seeing wonderfully by the sounds of things!
