Hi,

I appologize in advance if this is long, but I desperately need to vent and I know all of you are here understand the types of frustrations I'm going through and have felt the same need at some point as well.

So I had been doing fairly well with my IBS symptoms until this past Friday. Friday morning I woke up with a ton of pain and nausea. I didn't eat anything, drank some fennel tea, and went to work. By 1:30, I was doubled over and my co-worker told me to go home (I'm a teacher, and luckily it was a professional development day -- no students). I got home at 2:00 and laid down for a nap. A half an hour later,I got up and had a D attack in the bathroom. Laid back down, got up 20 minutes later and had more D. This went on for 5 rounds over a period of 3 hours. I think it was triggered by a combination of hidden dairy, too much sugar, and stress. Afterwards, I was afraid to eat, so the only thing I had was a banana about 2 hours after the final attack. I had to play in an ultimate frisbee tournamnet that was 1.5 hours away all weekend, and since I knew I wouldn't be near any "real" bathrooms (gotta love portapotties) I didn't have much choice about my IBS issues. So because of that, the next morning on my way to the tournament I took an immodium. However, like usual, it constipated me so much that I didn't end up having a BM until Sunday evening.

On Monday after school, I went to a state park that I often run trails in. The weather was nice, so I ended up doing a 45 run, but during my last 2 minutes as I was headed back to the parking lot, I realized somewhere along the way my car keys had fallen out of my pocket. So, I spent the next hour going over the trails, searching for the keys. However, due to the amount of leaves and daylight savings time, I couldn't find them and it got really dark and I knew it wasn't safe to be out there alone. So I jogged back to the parking lot and found a park ranger. Since I don't have a spare set of keys, we found a towing company who towed my car to my apartment. The next morning I rode 7 miles on my bike to work (not fun) and during my planning period I rode over to the local Toyota company to get a new copy of my key. It took only 10 minutes, so I thought I was all set.

I should have known better. I got back to my apartment in the afternoon, and when I tried to use the key, it only unlocked the trunk, not the doors and wouldn't work in the ignition. So I called the dealership again, and the short of it is that at some point before I bought the car used, the ignition and locks were changed from the original key. So the dealership told me to have it towed to them and they would find the ignition code to make me a new key.

Well, today when I called the dealership, they told me that they couldn't find the ignition code, so they were going to have to replace my door locks and my ignition, which was going to be a hefty sum. Oh, and because they didn't have the parts, my car won't be ready until tomorrow afternoon. And I have to find someway to travel the half an hour to my graduate class this afternoon

As you all can probably guess, my stomach has been horrible lately. I've been sticking to the BTC diet, but even then I am having pain, loose bowels, lots of gas, and just general discomfort. Plus, my hemorrhoids have been flaring as well. I'm seriously at the end of my rope -- what more can possibly go wrong?! I feel like I'm living in a horrible made for TV Lifetime movie that never ends! ARGGGGGGGG! I'm sorry, I just had to let that out. I am trying to be positive, but my stomach is not happy with the situation (not surprising since neither am I!).

So if you made it through that rant, I give you lots of credit. And, if you have any kinds words of advice, I would be doubly happy. I don't know if I should start a second round of the hypno...thoughts? Thanks again for listening, I truly appreciate it.

Wow don't you just hate days like that! I really don't have any words of advice except that I sympathize with you about the keys. This summer hubby put his keys, his cell phone and our house phone on the back of my car bumper. Well after I put the kids to bed I left to go to the store. Well guess what happened to the keys and phones! Yep they were gone! Found the cell phone in a million pieces and the house phone and his keys well we still don't know where those were. It cost of $175 dollars to replace the key since his is a "special key according to the dealership and then another $150 to replace the phone since my hubby owns his own business and needed it right away. If I were you I would start the hypno. Sounds like you could use it! Here's hoping you have a better week next week!! *hugs*

Thanks for listening, Angela! It's good to know that others have made "silly" mistakes like me...definitely proves that we are certainly not all perfect, hehe. I think I'm definitely going to start another round of the hypno. I'm going away this weekend (which is going to be a bit stressful in itself) so I think I'll plan on starting the next round on Monday. Thanks for the advice and the hugs!
