Yeah, if I really felt like I had a choice, he wouldn't be in football either. I'm not a big fan. However, he has loads of energy and with him starting a new school and knowing that he'd have to sign the athletic code to play (academic and behavioral), I didn't think it was such a bad idea.
Great news though....he came home everyday this week from school with absolutely nothing negative to say about school. I think part of it is a new school and part of it is football so I have to let it go.
Sorry to hear about your son's finger. How disappointing to miss a game. Tanner broke his pinky two days before school got out. He had a split up to his elbow. Doc said no skating, running, biking, swimming...or basically anything fun for 6 weeks. I thought he was going to die. Thankfully his finger healed up in 3 weeks! We'll see what happens with football. Poor kid's gonna have to get used to being bruised up. He's only 85 lbs. himself.
