Ack. I'm hunched over my keyboard, gasping. It starts deep in my gut and slowly explodes, moving every organ. The sweat starts, soaking me as I hunch over. And then the heat takes over as a flush that never leaves. Suddenly the deep growling in my descending colon... my right side sounds like a toilet flushing.
I tear away from my computer in full attack, ripping off clothes on the way to the bathroom. No sooner than I spin a round and sit, my bowels erupt, exploding painfully into the bowl. The pain is ripping and stabbing, and as my overheated body spasms back and forth, I dream these are my actual guts being torn from me.
I pant softly and look at my watch: 7 minutes. I set my timer again to chart the time between this and the next attack.
Sitting back at my computer I wonder, if there are birthing shows, why not have shows on irregular bowel movements. Surely there are all the ingredients that make good television.
My mind has obviously gone.

I feel for ya! I just had one of those attacks on Friday!!! The heat gave it to me this time. I sat on that toilet with exploding D at least 3 or 4 times. Sweating, painful abdomen! Don't worry, it will feel better tomorrow. Hang in there. What did you eat???

I completely feel you too. That was me yesterday morning - 4 times in a row for seemingly no reason whatsoever I think it might be stress or heat related, but honestly, at this point I have no clue. Hang in there, pamper yourself, and know that we all know how you feel!

You poor thing. Doctors don't take IBS seriously. I've been sick myself all week for no reason. Today I felt like I was passing out from the lack of food. The fear of getting sick from food takes over the hunger. I am so sorry you're going through those awful attacks. We feel your pain.

I hope you are feeling better, and this is totally off the subject, but you should consider being a writer.
