I'm back. Well, sort of. The hip replacement went well - looks perfect - but I've got a crack in my thigh bone. Apparently not unheard of but very frustrating. It's healing but I'm still stuck on my walker which means I'm still not terribly mobile stair-wise. I'm visiting downstairs today and thought I'd pop in for a minute.

I hope all is going well with everyone and with any luck I'll be around from time to time from now on.

Take care.

I was just thinking about you, and wondering how you were doing - now I know! Glad the replacement went well... that's a bummer about the crack, but at least it's not unheard-of, and it's healing - that's the important part, right?

Take care, and hope things get better! quickly! Miss you around here!

Sand! I was just thinking about you the other day, so I'm glad you stopped by and gave us an update. I've missed you! Good to hear the replacement went well, but I'm sorry you have to use the walker for a bit longer. Have you been bored this month or are you keeping yourself entertained?

I've read until my eyes are about to fall out and I've been catching up on some TV shows that looked interesting but I never got around to watching - like Gilmore Girls. Thank goodness for NetFlix. I've gotten so desperate I actually miss being able to do housework. Ugh!

Healing but not healed so I'm still on the walker, still not too mobile, and still frustrated. I hope everyone else's summer is going better.

Hi, Sand! Still on the walker?! I'm sorry to hear that. How long before you're completely healed?

Oh Sand! You poor thing - I completely understand your frustration!! I was on crutches for 10 weeks instead of 3 last year - I feel for you sweetie!!
I hope you're feeling better soon and you can enjoy summer - remember, it started today so technically you haven't missed it yet!!

I'm sorry to hear this. I hope you feel better soon. A few summers ago my friends and I had what we called "the summer of suck," it seemed like everything that could go wrong did. I'm sorry you've inherited it, but I hope for a happy fall!

I don't know how long before I'm healed. I see my ortho again around July 24 and I'm hoping that will be the end of it. (Well, except for the therapy to get my leg all the way back and the therapy to fix my left arm which can't handle taking all the weight and, speaking of which, losing the weight I've gained by just sitting for all this time and did I mention I have to have the other hip replaced sometime, too, and that day is a lot sooner than I'd hoped since it's been doing yeoman work while it's been the only one functioning and is slowly collapsing as a result. Bitter? I'm not bitter.)

Ahem. Anyhow. The "summer of suck" I think is an excellent description.
