I tried it for the first time last week and faced my fear of needles. There was no pain,(they're so thin!) but I had some slight radiating stinging in a couple of entry points. I had been having incredible jaw tension from my grinding teeth issues, and after my appt my jaw muscles were mushy! Incredible. The acupuncturist asked me a ton of questions about: stress, diet, health concerns, rel'nships, etc. She spent 1.5 hrs with me! I felt soooo much better. I go back tomorrow...She also lives with IBS, but hers is C, and we chatted about hallmark signs for IBS too. Apparently a pale, scalloped tongue was one sign??? Has anyone had any acu experience? Thanks...please share!

I have been twice, the first time was very painful but I also have neuropathy which makes my nerves much more sensitive. The second time didn't hurt as much. The radiating stinging is normal! Did she take your pulse in both wrists? My gal always looks at my tongue as well! I go for my 3rd visit this Thursday!
My ra has eroded my jaw bone which caused it to dislocate this past fall. OUCH! I went to an oral maxillofacial specialist, can't think of his exact title at the moment, I am in a drug induced stupor! However, he made me a mouth splint that I wear every night and during naps, driving, stressful times, etc and it has made a huge difference!
Keep me posted on the acupuncture! I am in less pain than when I started, however, they also increased my pain meds so hard to tell which is working!
