I have been taking Questran for a few weeks now and it seems to have helped with my symptoms dramatically. I no longer have problems with diahrea or loose stools. My doctors told me that this is a strong indication that my problem is not related to IBS but rather a bile problem from not having my Gallbladder. This seems fair enough but I am unsure why my other symptoms are so strong (nausea, stomach pain). Has anyone run into a similar statement about the Questran before?

Questran is actually used to bind bile salts so it sounds reasonable that not having a gall bladder is what is causing the problems.

I don't know if you can get nausea and stomach pains from not having a gall bladder or from taking Questran though... Maybe someone else can answer that for you.
