Someone said it's quiet around here so here's a little game I came across on another forum...

Here's how it works. I ask a question. The next person will answer my question and post another question and so on. In other words, each person answers the question in the post above and then asks a question for the next person to answer. You can't repeat a question that has already been asked. The thread is at over 800 responses on the other forum, let's see how we do!

Here goes nothing!

Oh, I have a good one.

I used to work at Barnes and Noble. I learned during my years of retail work that the general public can be awfully nasty if they've never worked retail themselves. One day I was standing at the info desk and this customer rushes by, bookin' it out of the store. And I see that hanging from the back of the waist of his pants is a torn, wet, ripped up toilet seat cover that had obviously soaked in the loo for a while before he got up to leave the store. He took off so fast I didn't have a chance to tell him. But I remember thinking, "Ah, one for the booksellers."

Ooh...

Well, in one sense it was the boy who grew up across the street from me, my very own Kevin Arnold to my Winnie Cooper.

In another more serious sense it was a boy in the tenth grade. We were best friends but I was hopelessly in love with him, and he strung me along for months.

I'm pregnant right now, so I'm LOVIN' my baths. I take one every night in addition to my morning showers. I like showering, but hate the process of 'getting ready' every day (hair, make-up, choosing clothes).

If you were given the ability to read other people's thoughts, would you want that ability? Why or why not?

My grandma is sinking into dementia and my mom has gone to Germany to help care for her. I was talking on the phone to my mom and she was telling me about the things my grandma is doing and saying. It's really sad.

Close to this time last year, I had to take 2 days off of work due to my cramping. I could barely get out of bed. It was so bad, the only thing I could compare it to was labor pain. I remember thinking, I'm not sure if I want to get pregnant again because I can't take the pain. I was crying, having trouble breathing, and back pain to top it off.

If someone gave you $5,000 today to spend on whatever you wished, what would it be? (It's easier to choose when it's a million...which is why I did a smaller amount!)

Nicest to you? Or nicest to them?

I asked my hubby for a little help with this one.

I don't really think this at the top of the list but he relays a time when I bought my best friend (other than the hubby) a Christmas tree.

A couple days before X-Mas one year, my friend had no tree because she didn't have the money to spend on one. She just wanted a little, 2/3 foot tree to have for the holiday. I went out with her to find one but she got a nasty headache and we had been running around all day doing other things (and there was some other personal stuff going on) and she was practically in tears when she said, "Let's just go home." Everywhere we had gone was either out of trees or what they had was out of her price range. So I took her back home (we were roomies at the time) and I headed back out. I decided to try one more place for a tree. I found a little 2.5 foot, Charlie Brown tree at the local Rite-Aid. It wasn't much but it was all I could afford. I bought it and took it home and she broke into tears cause she was so happy to have her very own little tree for Christmas.
