My MIL gave me a sewing machine. Yea! And my husband gave me a Crosley record/CD/cassette player. I've been wanting to get one for years. I love the old-timey look with modern electronics. Here's what they look like:

And I got the Twisted Sister (yes, the 80's band) Christmas album.

I got a gift certificate for a pedicure and a facial from DH. I got some jewelry and maternity clothes and gift card for more. My FIL gave us some money that paid for a new couch. Very cool.

I know this is going to make me sound childish, but my sister - in -law gave me a huge bag of fun stickers for my scrap book collection. I'm sort of an addict when it comes to scrap booking. Does any one else scrap book?

I had a great Christmas, my parents came from France after not seeing them for a year and a half, we all met in NY state for a family filled Christmas week. Very little stress ensued, which means we are all growing up! Food, music, gifts and laughter comprised most of the time. I had great fun being on the giving end, I prefer to give than to receive. All of my Christmas wishes came true this year...I feel very grateful.

I got lots of great stuff! I got a new huge iPod, a Gap "inspi(red)" t-shirt, tickets to Snow Patrol, memory foam for our bed, iPod accessories, an extra battery for my digital camera, a new crockpot... Lots and lots!
Now we're poor, unfortunately!

I got the CD changer attachment to go with my Bose stereo, which was great because I also got a recording of Mozart's opera Le Nozze di Figaro. Now I can listen to it all the way through without having to get up and change the CD! I got some clothes, a few other CDs, a new bathrobe, and a Zipcar gift certificate, too.

So are my sons! They love it. Our oldest who's 12 takes guitar lessons for his real guitar. He can play guitar hero real good. So can our 8 year old!
I got a Rachael Ray cookbook, clothing, $$$$$$ which I only have about $100 left But I did buy lots of stuff with my money. Hubby got me some candles, a Liz Claiborne sweater and a pink Columbia fleece. My favorite gift to myself though was the shopping spree at Old Navy. I got the best pink fleece reindeer pants for bed. They were like 5 bucks! Oh and giving the boys an Air Hockey table was just the best. Their expressions and excitment was priceless!!!

I love to scrapbook! I didn't get any cool stuff this year but my sister did and I definitely had scrapbook envy Christmas morning. I plan on going out and buying the same thing that she received as a gift.
DH gave me pearl earings which are beautiful. He also gave me a cashmere sweater which I love. Cashmere is my favorite!

Last mother's day my DH gave me a gift certificate to a scrap book store that's a miles from where I live, and we finaly went this chanukah to redeem it. I had a blast. They didn't have much in the way of stickers and cutting tools so I spent most of it stocking up on paper. It was fun picking whatever paper I wanted guilt free.

I started about 2 years ago!! I LOVE going to the stores and buying all the fun papers, stickers, cutters, pens and treasures!!! My mom also buys me stuff when she see's it on sale. When I saw her at x-mas had a really big shoe box FULL of stickers and little add on accessories!!! I haven't done too much scrap booking lately but I did make a scrap book of my girlfriends wedding which was in June. It took me several months and I bet I spent $200 on stuff but it was gorgeous!! I had textured papers and ribbons and black and white photos and lots of sparkles. It was the best one I had ever done!!

LOL.
Oh yeah, I also got a beautiful aquamarine ring, a new camera, and a LAPTOP, among other things. Somebody is seriously spoiled. But the best gift was getting to spend Christmas with my mom, stepdad, and brothers, which hasn't happened in *years*... it was wonderful.

It sounds like Santa was really nice this year for everyone! My hubby kind of spoiled me this year- lots of stuff from Pier 1, track pants & baseball caps for lazy weekends, perfume, & a necklace I really wanted. From family I got gift cards (Pier 1 & Target) as well as some money and more stuff from Pier 1. DH and I also just bought a new deep freeze, a big screen, and a home theatre system so we've probably reached our spending limit on frivolous things for awhile.
I'm glad to hear that so many of you had good holidays.
BTW- I am a huge scrapbooking fan too. I started about 3 years ago and was addicted after the first week. I only wish I had more time to do it.

I know what you mean. If I had my way, there would not be a loose photo in the house. And now my girls have caught on to my addiction and they started too. I thought it was cute until I realized that my seven year old has five completed scrap books on her shelf!

I really have to get back into it... I miss it! I used to have a TON of scrapbooking supplies, and I had to get rid of it all right before a move (long story!). That was in 2002, and I haven't done any scrapping since.
Everything's in (archival!) photo albums, at least, but it's just not the same. I also have a huge box of non-photo memorabilia to go with the pictures. One of these days...
