Well I went to the doctor's yesterday and was checked. My cervix is almost completely thinned out and I am dialated to 1cm. The only thing is that my cervix is still back a bit not in line like it should be but he said once the medicine starts working to induce labor that will correct itself. It was probably one of the more painful exams since her head was right there!! We have to be there at 5 am tomorrow moringing. Talk about starting early. I am hoping for half the labor time of Noah and much less pushing time. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and I will try to post pics this weekend. I am so nervous, anxious, and excited. I hope I can sleep some tonight! Good luck Heidi. I hope you go soon!!

Good luck Angela. That's about how far I was when they induced Maddy and Zoe with the cervidel. It took about 3 hours for labor to start with Maddy and then it went fast. It was 4-1/2 hours of total labor. With Zoe I started contracting immediately and too frequent so they took it out and just waited to see what happened. It took a while to for the contractions to get going since her heart rate went down and I was stuck in bed being monitored but I pretty much went on my own. I had pitocin at the end more for the dr convience than for my benifit. He insisted I would only have about 7 contractions and she would be born. He was right on with it and it wasn't too bad since I knew I was so close.

I have my appointment tomorrow. She said if I'm at least 1 cm she will strip my membranes. Not sure I want her to but I may not have a choice since I haven't dilated at all as of last week. I guess it's possible if she does that I could have our baby tomorrow but I'm not holding my breath. I'm hoping it will be sometime after Sat afternoon. At least with the possible induction next Friday, the end is in sight.
