I've never been but my family and I are going in December to see my brother in a musical. Just wondering about some kid-friendly things to do and some decent places to stay. Any ideas? Thanks!

Well, I go to school in Philly but I don't actually live here. I know there's something called the "Please Touch Museum" which is probably kid friendly.

Thanks. I'll look into that. That sounds like fun.

I'm originally from Philly but I live about 45min from there now. There's lots to do. There's the Franklin Institute which kids LOVE, there's the Phila. Zoo which my hubby and kids were just at this past weekend and had a great time. Where is your brother doing the musical at? Penns Landing has some good restraunts I think. Go online to Philly.com and I'm sure you'll find some good stuff. Oh and if you get a chance, definitly eat a Philly cheesesteak. It will be the best you've ever had!!!!
Have fun!

Thanks for the ideas.
My brother lives in NY but was cast in the show "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown". He got the lead role of Snoopy at the Media theater? I guess when it was on Broadway, the guy who played Snoopy got a Tony. It's supposed to be a great role. So, we're gonna make the trek out there. A couple of summers ago he got the lead role in an off-broadway show and that was really fun.

Wow--small world! I live in Media, and The Media Theater is six blocks from my home. Are you going to be in Media or in Philly?

Hmmm, I guess I didn't know that Media wasn't in Philly. We will definitely be flying into Philly. We'll probably stay there. So, how far away is the Media theater from Philly? I don't think we were planning on renting a car. Hmmm, new twist on this then. Any suggestions?

What's the Media theater like? I'm really excited to see him.

I'm actually outside of Philly. Media is still kinda "city" to me so I'm not sure where the Media Theatre is. Karen sounds like she knows though as she's from Media.
The show sounds fun though. Never know, he just might make it big someday and you can come pick Karen & I up in a Limo to watch the movie he's gonna premier in

It's so cool. He's doing really well. I can't imagine trying to do theater/singing/modeling full-time. What a stressful job. As much as I love that stuff and was able to sing part-time myself, I need the stability of a "real job". Sometimes I feel envious, but most of the time I know that teaching is stressful enough for me! I'll definitely let you know how the show goes. I'm really looking forward to going out east. I've only been to NY.
