I'm 20 weeks pregnant and we found out today that it's a girl. But we have NO names picked out. I'm at a loss.

A couple I like are:

Grace
Naia
Avery
Middle name will be Thomas regardless of first name. It's my dad's name, and our son's middle name was named after paternal gpa. We're only having two kids.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

My daughter's name is Quinlan - which I of course think is beautiful....
From our top lists also were:
Bria (breeah)
Keeva
Kiera
Kieran
Lauren
Laurel
Leah - one of my favourites too
Carrie
Hmmmm... some names I've taught:
Brianne
Laura
Maya - another great one...
Mariah
Carmen
My name is Alicia and I DON't recommend it because I pronounce it just like Tricia (drop the TR and add AL) but everybody who doesn't know me calls me AlEEEESHA and it drives me nuts... I am not a LEASH. (sorry, just venting.)
I just hate having a name that is always misspelled and mispronounced. It's a pain. Doesn't explain why we chose Quinlan, now does it??? (my husband's choice, not mine)
XOXO

Congrats on the girl!

It's difficult to suggest names without knowing what you're looking for. Does it matter to you how common/trendy they are? Do you like really feminine sounding names or not? I really like the name Ellery, but my spouse doesn't like it, so I will pass it on.

Congrats! One suggestion ... if her middle name is going to be Thomas, I'd recommend having a very definitely feminine first name or people are going to automatically assume "she" is a "he". I do like "Grace" -- it's very pretty and very classic.

Thanks!

Our son's name is Bodin Michael, so we're looking for an unusual/different name without being too weird.

Don't like ultra-feminine, but definitely want to stay on the femine side because of the middle name.

Love some of the names that were suggested! I'm going to write down my favories and show them to my hubby!

Thanks!

Emily or Emma (and this was BEFORE "Friends")
Rose
Victoria
Elsa (my grandma's name)

Congratulations on your little girl. I love them. I really like Grace and Olivia. We had Olivia on our list this time. We didn't get far with girls names because we decided to wait until d-day and then we found out we're having a boy so all the girl names went to the way side forever ! I believe there is a feminine form of Thomas if you interested. Can't think of it right now. Our son will have two middle names, both our fathers' names so one of the names is Thomas. We just can't come up with a first name. I'm rambling now but if your interested in a not so popular name you may want to check out thisweb page.

I'm partial to Kayleigh since my second was supposed to be a Kayleigh and came out a boy! I also like Irish names so it really depends on how "into" names you really are to suggest a name.

Congratulations...
I have a few ideas, perhaps you may like a couple?

Macy
Caley (Ceilidh in Gaelic spelling) means "music"
Claire/Clare
Quinn
Kyrie
Ashlynn (Aislinn in Gaelic spelling)
Simone
Daria
Camille/Rose/Lilly...all sweet
Megan

Good Luck...I am sure you'll get a clearer idea once you see her. My parents were going to call me "Maura" (my Dad is from Ireland) but decided on Amy since I wasn't raven haired nor suited the name!

Congrats on the girl!! Now you will have one of each which is a million dollar family according to one of my friends. I am not sure if we are done but here are some of my favorite names:

Ava- Obviously since that's our name for our little one!
Laney- 2nd choice
Elizabeth
Megan
Emma- also before "Friends"
Madeline

Good luck choosing!

Oh, I wish I had my list with me because I have a lot of favorites. However, I tend to like a lot of names that are traditionally more male for girls (Kyle, Ryan). Some of my loves are:

Pacey
Navie (pronounced Navy)
Mya
Belle
Jezie

Thanks for all the great suggestions everyone!

I like:

Emma (my great aunt's name, but I was a HUGE Friends fan, and couldn't bring myself to name her after Ross/Rachel's baby) :0)

Belle: LOVE this name, from Beauty and the Beast. But I think it's becoming increasingly popular.

Ellie: My DH suggested this one yesterday. I have an aunt named Ellen. Are these names too close??

LOL Jules I was going to suggest Belle too, I love it and yes it also comes from beauty and the beast lol
I was thinking annabella though so that your baby girl can choose ann or anna or belle or bella or indeed annabella.

Congratulations!

What about the name "Leykin"? (pronounced Lay kin) Also can be spelled "Layken." This is the name of my neighbor's adopted daughter. It fits her perfectly, and it's original, but not so strange that people mispronounce it.

"Leykin Thomas" sounds good!

I also love "Ava Thomas."

I had girl names picked out (Meredith and Mallory) during both pregnancies, but I never got to use them....I have 2 boys!

Congratulations! How exciting, a sweet baby girl.

I am partial to old fashioned names that are not popular. I worked in a school and you would be amazed how many kids have the same names.

My girls are Collin and Helen which are both family names.

I really love:

Ann
Amelia
Claire
Mary
Lydia
Oliva

Good luck! When naming my kids I had to say all three names together to make sure they fit. Sometimes a great first name sounds awkward with the middle and last.
