Everyone gets blemishes it happens but I have one in the worst possible facial related place. Right on my upper lip right at the indentation in the middle.. It looks horrible (I know it's not a cold sore because one, I have never had them before, and two, it doesn't look like one, one little bit) It's already come to the surface now I'm trying to make the swelling go down and be less noticable.. Can anyone help me??

Last time I ever wear a volumnizing lipstick.. Did you know the reason why your lips look more full is because there are irritants in the stuff to make the blood rush to your lips??

Do you happen to have any hydrocortisone cream at your house? If so, dab some on that sucker and it should bring some of the swelling down. Also, takeing ibuprofen or another pain killer will sometimes bring the swelling down. Hope that helps!

You can use a cream with benzol peroxide, or salicilic acid.

How's the pimple situation today? I have a bad current breakout-- a dreaded triple-zit next to my nose and a smattering across my chin and forehead.

Today is not a school picture sort of day, ya know?

It's still there and still quite red, it doesn't seem to be healing at all, but then again maybe it just seems worse than it is... Admittedly I'm scared to use any chemicals that close to my mouth/lips... <sigh> It better be healed by friday of next week, I have plans and it's not invited..

I'm serious. A small dab at bedtime. It helps draw out the moisture and brings down the swelling and stops that nasty in its tracks.
Follow up in the AM with a touch of aloe, as toothpaste can irritate - it dries things out.

Yes, it's hard when they're so close to the lip. There's nowhere to hide when it's right in the middle of your face like that...

When they don't have a whitehead, I use moisturizer (because like that most times they go away without reaching the surface). When it has a whitehead, I pop and dry it out with either refining mask or benzoil peroxide 10% solution. Unf for me, my zit is in the between stage at the mo!!

I get dry skin, like eczema, with zits under it. it's hateful. And it's in full force this year, worse than ever due to stress!

I ahve one at the uppermost point of my right middle of my lip. it hurt like stink too. I've been dousing in Clean and Clear, hoping it gets better. usually my skin is HEAVENLY clear.
