Have so much fun and Happy Anniversary!!

I don't have anything major planned. Lunch with my sis one day, cookout with the parents another day....pretty low-key.

Oh looks beautiful! Happy Anniversary and enjoy yourselves!

Will is working so not much going on here. Lounging with the dogs and maybe a little retail therapy if I feel up to it!

Happy Anniversary!

It's supposed to rain all weekend from Ernesto. Hubby and I are looking forward to some serious couch time. August was a hectic month!

Thank god for the 3 day weekend! Since we're building, we'll be stuck working on the house most of the weekend. But, we'll also probably get a couple of cook-outs in with our families who will be helping at the house. We also have a pool party to go to on Saturday night. My sister and her boyfriend are coming home for the weekend. It will be nice to see them. She is 11 years younger so sometimes I find it hard to relate, but I think it will be okay for a weekend. And, I have to head to Michigan for work first thing Tuesday morning so I guess I have some packing to do.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Have fun, Shel!

Saturday, I am going to hang out at On the Waterfront (www.onthewaterfront.com). It's a huge music festival Rockford hosts. It takes up...I don't know how many blocks. All of down town at least. It's a blast, even if you have to hang out alone. The food is a lot of fun, too, but I don't know how much of it I can eat anymore. All the food proceeds go to local charities, so I'll have to find something IBS-safe.

Sunday, I have to work for a couple hours in the morning but have no other plans. Monday, I should do something out of the house during the day so my husband can sleep.

Thomas and I will likely do a good long ride to somewhere. We don't really decide until we are actually going as to where to go! It's great. Plus I would like to get the front garden cleaned out and some of the weed barrier in before the end of September.

But hoping that the baby waits until next weekend---I'm going to try to take it easy this weekend and not overdo it! Meanwhile, my poor husband will be working on the house and yard.

We will be catching up on things around the house. Monday we will probably go to Michigan's Adventure(roller coasters and water park!). My husband and I have gone there every Labor Day since we were dating/married. Hopefully the weather will be ok. The water park is usually pretty chilly. Some years it has only been in the 60's. But at least it's not busy then. Have a good weekend everyone!

I'll be going to Toronto with my bf and then meeting up with friends for Wonderland (amusement park) on Sunday. I just checked the weather and now it's supposed to rain all day Sunday because of Ernesto. I'm hoping the storm will move a bit quicker and be out of our way by then..
Also planning to do a lot of shopping and eating in the city.

My first was a "Labour Day" baby. I was planning on rejoycing the next day cause I didn't have to go to school. Instead I woke up to the searing pain of a c-section.

All trains south of DC are cancelled, so I'm back in Jersey, bumming on my couch with the TV and internet.

So, now it's a weekend around the apartment attempting to unpack more of these boxes.

congratulations on your anniversary, Shell! Have a great time!

Hubby and I are spending the long weekend at our mountain cabin. No phone, no indoor plumbing, only one channel on the TV...(but we do have a VCR). Spend a lot of time outside enjoying nature and fresh air with our "boys" (dogs).

It's raining at my place already. I hope you have a cabin or camper and are not tenting it!

The last hurricane that breezed its way through here, I was scheduled to go to Asseteague (sand, ponies) and camp there. Those b**tards charged my card $10 for 2 nights even tho the park was essentially closed. So rude! I have no timing when it comes to these things!!

We just finished our basement. Hardwood floors, new furniture the works. Well the Atlantic Coast is getting hammered this weekend and guess where we are?!?! YES, the Atlantic Coast. Our electric went out last night at 1:30am, hence, no sump pump. Could not see a darn thing, tripped over a million things in the back of our basement. I must have had 15 candles buring everywhere in the house(on a good note it smelled real pretty!) Poor hubby must have taken 150 buckets for 2 1/2 hrs up the basement steps out the front door. Electric did come back on at 4am. Lowes didn't open until 6 so needless to say, he went to Lowes and we now own a $250 battery back up sump pump! Urghhhhhhrrrr. I knew this weekend was gonna suck! Plus, my grandmom died Thursday night . I can't talk about it just yet.

Please hope for some sun in our area real soon (both in my life and outside!)

I lost my grannie a couple months ago. I share in your loss and wish you comfort from your sadness. {{{BIG HUGS}}}}

We got pouunded by the hurricane in MD too-- we lost power a total of 9 times and one of the surges blew out our a/c, which is getting fixed today.

Deepest condolences on your loss. I will be lost without my Grandma when her time comes.

As for you house, I hope your new renos didn't sustain any water damage. If yes, I hope you have a good dehumidifier!! I work for a water and fire restoration company, I see this daily. Best of luck keeping your feet dry!
