Is Bevvy still around? I haven't seen her here in a while. I always found her posts and her recovery inspirational.

I miss her too, I used to love her posts/responses. I haven't seen her post in ages, but that doesn't mean maybe she doesn't lurk every once in a while? If she does, and she sees this, Hi Bevvy! We miss you!

Thanks for your kind words, Gracie, Stephie and Janey. No, I don't lurk; I haven't been on the Boards in months. Lotsa new people now who don't know me; I think you guys are the only ones.
I am in constant touch with Barbie (my "Sis"); she and I have become very close. I'm also in touch with Gayla (Gigi), Gail, Michelle and Rachel; great gals. It was Rachel who alerted me to your posts.
Had to put my dog down two weeks ago today; it was a horrible experience, and neither hubby nor I were consolable. We got a little puppy last week who is doing a wonderful job of filling the emptiness. He's a little Westie and his name is Bailey; he's 12 weeks old. He chews on absolutely everything but only poops outside; he scratches at the door when he has to go. When we tell him "NO" he cocks his little head to the side, so we know he's listening to us. I just love his little puppy breath, and he seems to enjoy licking my face all over. What a puppy!
When Bailey falls asleep in his crate, we take off for the water. We kayak every day, rain or shine.
I'm knitting constantly, as usual. Health-wise I'm doing well, warding off any more diverticulitis attacks by eating only colon-friendly foods. Since I cut out the calcium supplements, I haven't had one IBS attack; it's been months now. I'm doing well, thanks.
Hope you guys are doing well too. Maybe I'll pop back in here on occasion to check your posts -- but only yours.
Thanks again for remembering me.

I'm sorry you're not around more, Bevvy, and very sorry to hear about your dog, but glad you're doing well otherwise.
Visit the Diet Board if you have time. People there really miss your WW recipes!
Take care.

Hey Beevy! There are lots of new people but I'm still here too!
So sorry about your dog. That must have been awful. The new puppy sounds wonderful and we'd love to see pictures! I got a second puppy also, Oliver, and he cocks his head when I talk to him too!

Glad to see you pop in Bev! I was wondering where you've been! Not sure if you were caught up in the whole Tommy and Tina thing a while back which I missed! I always miss the good posts! I miss Barbie too. I haven't seen her post in a while either.
I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry to hear about your dog? How old was it? I remember like it was yesterday putting our Golden to sleep last Sept. OMG it's almost been a year! Anyway, I'm so glad you got another right away. They really do take the emptiness away don't they My puppy is going to be 8mths old. We just love him to death. I love the name Bailey for your new doggie too. It's so cute. He seems so smart already with the things you said he can do. You are so lucky!
Glad your tummy has been treating you well these days. My mom just found out she has diverticulitis too. She recovered from a 3 day hospital stay with it, however, other stuff is messed up now with her. Her sodium levels are low and she's really tired all the time. If she still feels bad in a week or so the doctor wants to check for Addison's Disease Hopefull it's nothing.
We could never forget ya! Keep poking in once in a while. YOu are really an ispiration to a lot of us. YOu always know what to say!

I am so sorry to hear about your dog. That is the hardest thing to do and so sad. Glad to hear that you are feeling good and doing what you love most, rowing and knitting.
I love what you said about your new puppy, puppy breath. That is wonderful and I had forgotten how sweet that is. haven't had a puppy in a long time.
There are lots of people you know still on the boards. We would love it if you popped in every now and then with your words of wisdom. You always brightened my day and I am sure everyone else too.
