When you and Elliott get married, I get to come to the wedding. I love the name Elliott, but could never name my kid that - that would be cruel. Or Ellie, which I love. Oh well.

Talk at ya later. I gotta go to bed.

I'm doing well!! A lot has changed in the last few months!

I finished up with my Masters and CAGS finally, and I also moved to Maryland last weekend!! I started a new job yesterday as a psychologist!! Plus, I just turned 25 last sunday. yiiikkes what a month!!

Amanda's doing well.. she's currently on a 6 week tour of asia to celebrate finishing the bar and her own 25th bday. Right after she gets back she's going straight to her new job.

Whats new with you?!?

I don't expect to "love" labor, but I'm definitely getting to the stage where I'm ready to be done being pregnant. I've had it relatively easy but now walking IS hard. Getting to the office (walk to train station, ride train, walk to work) each day is very hard. My husband has been riding the train with me (we both work downtown but he usually drives) so he can carry my bags and walk me to work!

I will probably gain about 40-45lbs total. A lot of it feels like water weight. Very uncomfortable. And I'm sort of sick of all these maternity clothes.

I'm not far from Joliet---it's actually where I grew up! Tinley Park is about 20 minutes from there.

Hmm..the mirror thing sounds interesting. Did you have an epidural? I'm actually looking forward to the hospital part---hospitals don't freak me out. I had bad asthma as a child and was in and out, not to mention peanut allergy attacks, and weird things like collapsed lungs. So I'm actually pretty comfortable with tubes in my arms and surrounded by nurses and doctors. Does that make me a weirdo?

Oh and tell me more about spitting--like, you HAD to spit more or you spit accidentally more? Because I'm definitely experiencing a surplus of saliva and I don't know what to do about it!

Hey girl. Yeah I don't know how you're walking that much still. I literally layed on the couch the last few weeks. A lot of mine was water from the toxemia. I lost 43 pounds in 10 days after I delivered, so I know that was water - my ankles looked like I was a 500 pound woman.

I'm actually in Plainfield, but RIGHT next to Joliet, like - down the street is Joliet practically....we use Joliet for all of our utilities and stuff. We should do lunch sometime!!

Yeah I ended up getting an epidural - I didn't want one...I went 22 hours at 6cm dialated before I got one...but I wasn't progressing and they said it was because I wasn't relaxing. I got the epidural and had him 2 hours later. Went from a 6 to a 10 in less than half an hour. I could have had him out quicker if I had used a mirror from the start. Being able to SEE his head coming out was complete motivation. My pushes were MUCH better with the mirror, and it was just incredible to watch. They should have a standing mirror in the room, whether you use it or not.

As far as spitting goes...I had tons of excess saliva. So did StephS (Speaking of her - where is she?!?!)
I spit all the time, or I would throw up because it was so gross to me. I slept with a garbage can by my bed so I could spit. I couldnt really brush my teeth at the end because I got so grossed out I would throw up and then my teeth felt even grosser....
Gosh, talking about all this is making me second guess trying to get pregnant again! LOL.

I agree with you on the hospital thing...I like being in hospitals cuz you're catered to! My hospital had awesome food (I know, weird), and seriously you get all the attention, so it's fun.

Ok I better go cuz someone's waking up!

Oh I am dreading those last few weeks where it feels like the baby is coming out!! The bad thing this time around is that I am working right up until they induce me! The kids are going to have to get use to my butt sitting down alot towards the end!! The salivia thing interests me because I have the opposite problem. My mouth is dry all the time which makes me drink alot which then makes me pee alot!!! LOL! My biggest pet peeve right now is my nosebleeds. Being on the blood thinner and having engorged blood vessels when you are pregnant is not a good combo! I accidently bumped my nose last night while I was sleeping and had a nosebleed for about 5 minutes at 3am! I have to use vasoline in my nose and saline spray plus I am going to have to use a humidifier when it starts getting cold. Oh well all these things are doable when you consider the wonderful outcomes they produce!!! I did have a mirror when I pushed but I tell you what I sure hope my daughter's head is alot smaller than my son's! I had to push for 2 1/2 hours to get him out!! That's what happens when the head is 15 centimeters and you only dialate to 10!!! The epidural acutally slowed my labor down. I didn't get one until I was 7 cm and then it took 5 hours to dialate to 10cm. But I would get one again for sure!!

Missed ya! I'm glad you had some time to pop in. YOu should do it more often if ya can!!! First....OMG can you or Grant get any more adorable?!?!? I think not! Second....what are ya nuts trying again to be preggers!?!? Oh my I couldn't imagine but you definitly remind me of the type that can handle two little ones at once! Lots of luck with having that....uh hum...GIRL! You just have to have one of each. That would be even more adorable!!!
I give you so much credit for handling him on your own for the week and only having hubby home on the weekends. That is SO rough on anyone. I'm glad that will be over soon though.
Have a great time in WI. You definitly deserve it after your last few weeks. Hope the new home is coming along. Send us some pics of that also Take care!!!!

You're so sweet! I missed ya too!

Yeah it's been rough with Justin gone all week. It's definately a 24 hour job, some days are a lot worse than others. But I love being a mom, I love taking care of someone (including the puppies)
And yeah - I know I'm crazy....I want a big family if I can, so I better keep popping them out! Ha. Unless I have another really sick pregnancy...then I might change my mind.
I would rather have all boys if it was up to me....but that's just how I am. I wouldn't be disappointed of course if it was a girl, because I LOVE the relationship I have with my mom....but I don't know, I've just always pictured myself with boys. If you met any of my friends, they'd say they could only see me with boys. I was such a tomboy, I can't wait to take him to football and baseball practice...play in the dirt, etc I would just go nuts with a bunch of barbies laying around! Haha.

I can't wait to leave for WI! Yay! It's supposed to rain tommorrow...but there's a huge indoor pool and lots of other stuff to do. And Justin starts his new job Monday!

How have you been? How are your boys????

<<HUGS>>

I would have pictured myself with girls and my friends would have said they'd see me with girls too but I got boys. I believe God gave me boys because I'm not sure if I could handle girls. I was a handful growing up with my bad stomach/nerves/boys and heartbreaks and stuff and I would be a total mess if I had girls. Not that boys are easy but I see what other parents go through with girls and their drama's and I just couldn't imagine!!! One thing that's hard to instill in boys is the closeness. I try to get them to call me mommy (they are 8 and the other one will be 12 in one month)I still refer to my mom as mommy and I so want them to refer to me as mommy. I notice every once in a while the older one will call me mommy. I don't have a "close" relationship with my mom so I'm trying real hard to have one with my boys.
Anyway, I was gonna say that you will LOVE taking them(if you have another boy)to baseball/football or whatever sport they are in. I NEVER EVER would have thought I'd like it but I honestly do. You just become so proud of them and their accomplishments as they get older.
So since you asked how my boys are........(Thanks BTW )My oldest had complete straight A's in Fifth grade all marking periods last school year. He finally made the Travel Baseball team this summer and we traveled all over for his tournaments. His team picked up a trophy in a New Jersey tournament. They placed second. My youngest had perfect attendence in second grade this past school year. He also played baseball and is moving up to our minor league in the fall. He's growing so fast. Enjoy Grant now...It goes so darn fast.
Take care and keep in touch!!!
