Hi everyone!
I'm still here in Spain with a week and a half left to go. I miss y'all, although I've been popping in every so often to check up on you. I've been busy with classes and running around. I got to England last weekend and got the tour of London which was cool. Tomorrow I go for a day trip to France and I'm excited about that. Wish I could stay longer but I don't have the time or the moulah.

My classes are great and my teachers are wonderful so I can't complain about that. HOWEVER, the food stinks. I paid already to eat in the cafeteria in the dorm here and it's been a pain. I'm nearly certain that there are no Spainards with IBS or GERD! Just about every meal is fried, served with an egg, has some dairy and red meat. Rarely do they eat chicken or turkey. So, the cafe ladies have felt sorry for me and have prepared me some grilled whitefish but I can only take so much! 2X a day and I want to slash my wrists! Ewwww! And almost no seasoning. I'm so ready to come home. I feel like a terrible ingrate but it's hard to be footloose and fancyfree when I've got the tummy grumbles! I've gone from my typical C to D since I've been here. Thankfully, I'll go a couple days in between before I have to go again. But blahhhh!

I miss home. But I have to say my español is now better than ever. So, I've achieved my goal.

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm keeping an eye out. Lingering....

Hugs to all!

I KNOW EXACTLY what you mean about the food thing...those spaniards DEFINATELY DONT suffer much with IBS...or those that do...I feel for them! I know I had one of my WORST ibs attacks there and have always struggled with the food issue....can you not get to a fresh food place...I always cook my own there....lots of LOVELY french bread.....glad alls well apart from that....enjoy your last week.

Glad to hear that you are learning lots. Sorry to hear about the food. I lived there almost 11 years so I do know what you are going through. I hardly ever ate out while there and when I did there were only a couple of places that I would go to because I knew I could get something that was fairly IBS safe. They do have wonderful bread and I miss that very much. I usually ate fish or grilled chicken when I went out. If you are eating in the cafeteria I can only imagine what kind of food you are getting.

I have been to London twice and I loved it. A great place to visit.

Enjoy the rest of your trip.
