... and hard to use computer / type.
Bout to go to bed, but basically I turned over in bed day before yesterday (nothing glamourous like a sporting injury!) and there was a loud CRACK - loudest I've ever heard a body make, then I was in agony. Had ambulance out and an injury specialist and everything - v. embarrassing. (only me stressing bout my IBS made them not take me into hospital! )
Full story on my blog (hurts too much to type it again), but basically it'll take at least 5 days to feel better, and I'm on 8 Codeine, 8 Ibuprofen and 6 paracetemol a day til the pain starts to fade!! Lot of movement restricted too.
So sorry if I've missed something, hopefully will be back for a bit tom if the pain goes a little bit. Has been like a knife in my neck!
Hope everyone's ok, I'll catch up soon as possible...

Hope you feel better soon. Have you had other back problems? Have you considered seeing a chiropractor?

you poor honey. I've had muscle spasm in my back and it was sore but yours sounds like agony, much more than that. When I went to the back clinic they gave out to me for staying in bed, mean physios! Hope you can watch TV, there's tons of junk on at the moment between BB, Love Island and the new Ant & Dec quiz...had a great night of TV last night thanks to the worst IBS cramps I have had in years
Word of caution: Any time I've taken codeine it's made me very C so watch out for that one.
Get better soon honey.

Thanks Gracie.
Nope, no problems previous to this. One bad thing tho is that both my mum and my mum's mum developed osteo-arthritis (sp?) in their mid-twenties, so I'm just hitting the right time where I need to start getting checked out. Joy!
Pain is slightly better today, but movemement is much better - I can turn my head a couple of inches to the right now.
The doc said to go to a physio over a chiropracter, as in the UK chiropracters aren't regulated or use official accreditations, whereas physio's are and do - so are much better to 'trust' to sort out problems like this. No idea myself what the difference is between the two, or even what chiropracters actually 'do'!!
Thanks for the advice though, will do some research

Everyone is like 'it'd only happen to you'!! And everyone seems to think how funny it is that until all my tummy problems started a couple of years ago I was barely ever ill in my whole life, but since then everything goes wrong... Doh!
Also had some bad news tomorrow - I think I've mentioned my poorly nan on here before, they've been thinking it's ulcers, hiatus hernias and allsorts, but now, after some scans done yesterday, they think it's Ovarian Cancer. She's got more tests on the 24th, but that's what they think - the ovaries didn't show as 'clear' on the scans, which they should do when a woman passed menopause so long ago.
So nan depressed, stopped eating again, my grandad's terrified and my mum's in a real mess.
Been so lucky, reaching 23 with all 4 grandparents still alive, but it's finally starting to sink in that they're not invincible...
Thanks for the virtual healing, much appreciated!

Never understood that one! But you're right, junk tv all the way... However, am at my parents so lost control of the tv, and they hate stuff like BB - so I've not seen any since Friday night, anything interesting happening???
Yeah the codeine is pretty constipating, I have it on prescription anyway for when the IBS cramps are unbearable and it sometimes has that effect. (Like now - I haven't pooped since Saturday, and I need to go and see my nan and pick up some lip stuff for my ridiculous swollen lips, but I daren't take any Immodium til I've been, or I'll be in a mess for the next couple of days - so send some pooping vibes over please!! )
I do feel tons better today thankyou - pain only very slightly better but feels great to get some movement back in my head.
How's your cramps doing now? Hope you're feeling a bit less sh**...
