... and hard to use computer / type.

Bout to go to bed, but basically I turned over in bed day before yesterday (nothing glamourous like a sporting injury!) and there was a loud CRACK - loudest I've ever heard a body make, then I was in agony. Had ambulance out and an injury specialist and everything - v. embarrassing. (only me stressing bout my IBS made them not take me into hospital! )

Full story on my blog (hurts too much to type it again), but basically it'll take at least 5 days to feel better, and I'm on 8 Codeine, 8 Ibuprofen and 6 paracetemol a day til the pain starts to fade!! Lot of movement restricted too.

So sorry if I've missed something, hopefully will be back for a bit tom if the pain goes a little bit. Has been like a knife in my neck!

Hope everyone's ok, I'll catch up soon as possible...

Hope you feel better soon. Have you had other back problems? Have you considered seeing a chiropractor?

you poor honey. I've had muscle spasm in my back and it was sore but yours sounds like agony, much more than that. When I went to the back clinic they gave out to me for staying in bed, mean physios! Hope you can watch TV, there's tons of junk on at the moment between BB, Love Island and the new Ant & Dec quiz...had a great night of TV last night thanks to the worst IBS cramps I have had in years

Word of caution: Any time I've taken codeine it's made me very C so watch out for that one.

Get better soon honey.

Thanks Gracie.

Nope, no problems previous to this. One bad thing tho is that both my mum and my mum's mum developed osteo-arthritis (sp?) in their mid-twenties, so I'm just hitting the right time where I need to start getting checked out. Joy!

Pain is slightly better today, but movemement is much better - I can turn my head a couple of inches to the right now.

The doc said to go to a physio over a chiropracter, as in the UK chiropracters aren't regulated or use official accreditations, whereas physio's are and do - so are much better to 'trust' to sort out problems like this. No idea myself what the difference is between the two, or even what chiropracters actually 'do'!!

Thanks for the advice though, will do some research

Everyone is like 'it'd only happen to you'!! And everyone seems to think how funny it is that until all my tummy problems started a couple of years ago I was barely ever ill in my whole life, but since then everything goes wrong... Doh!

Also had some bad news tomorrow - I think I've mentioned my poorly nan on here before, they've been thinking it's ulcers, hiatus hernias and allsorts, but now, after some scans done yesterday, they think it's Ovarian Cancer. She's got more tests on the 24th, but that's what they think - the ovaries didn't show as 'clear' on the scans, which they should do when a woman passed menopause so long ago.

So nan depressed, stopped eating again, my grandad's terrified and my mum's in a real mess.

Been so lucky, reaching 23 with all 4 grandparents still alive, but it's finally starting to sink in that they're not invincible...

Thanks for the virtual healing, much appreciated!

Never understood that one! But you're right, junk tv all the way... However, am at my parents so lost control of the tv, and they hate stuff like BB - so I've not seen any since Friday night, anything interesting happening???

Yeah the codeine is pretty constipating, I have it on prescription anyway for when the IBS cramps are unbearable and it sometimes has that effect. (Like now - I haven't pooped since Saturday, and I need to go and see my nan and pick up some lip stuff for my ridiculous swollen lips, but I daren't take any Immodium til I've been, or I'll be in a mess for the next couple of days - so send some pooping vibes over please!! )

I do feel tons better today thankyou - pain only very slightly better but feels great to get some movement back in my head.

How's your cramps doing now? Hope you're feeling a bit less sh**...

Lots interesting happening on BB, everyone except Jayne up for eviction as HER punishment for HER rulebreaking? WTF? Lots of theories about it on the BB boards on channel4.com, that they will evict Jayne too or that she's a plant etc ...

My cramps are righting themselves, have had a horrible day and a half with them though

Here's some pooping vibes. I am almost doing the breaking the cycle diet at the moment the cramps are so bad- today I had dry crunchynut cornflakes for brekkie, chicken and rice for lunch *with a couple of daring mushrooms, 2 cans flat 7up, mint tea, rich tea biccies and a turkey half baguette. Can you spell BLAND...had some pretzels and marshmallows too...blandedy bland. Beginning to reset my tummy now..in time for this week's boozy lunches, ARGH!

Hope you are feeling better and that your parents are taking care of you!

Honestly? Feeling poop.

So we found out on Monday that my mum's mum probably has ovarian cancer - she has a biopsy a week on Monday (the 24th, same day as my next hypno) to investigate, as well as some other tests. Then we find out Tuesday that my other nan (dad's mum) has something seriously wrong with her lungs - she's been for a biopsy today, so we know it's serious 'cause nothing get's done that quick over here, and results in a couple of weeks.

So fingers crossed everyone! I'm so lucky to have got to almost 24 with all 4 of my grandparents alive and well, but doesn't make this any easier.

Other than that, my neck's much better, still hurts but better than it was, my tum's in a mess - nothing but D since Tuesday afternoon, and I'm full of allergies, probably to my cats here at my parents, possibly hayfever.

But hey, just about to jump in the shower, then fingers crossed get ready and head back home. Haven't seen my gorgeous Jamie since Sunday afternoon, so can't wait!! And boy do I need a big cuddle...

Oh, and in the shower I'm hopefully dying my pale blonde hair a warm coppery colour (yes, ginger... ), just for a change. I say "hopefully", cause normally when I dye my hair it ends up very different to what I expect...

I'll post a pic if it looks ok!

Thanks everyone for asking after me by the way, not replied to everyone as been in a daze all week. Really appreciate you all caring

Am so sorry to hear about your grandparents...I'm very lucky to have 3 of mine still here and I love them dearly I couldn't imagine any of them getting so ill...they're in my thoughts I can promise you that...and I'm thinking of you and all your family.

Keep us posted on any updates...am sad as I will be officially moving next week and it means NO INTERNET until we get connected...and I have NO IDEA when that will be...but I can use uni facilities so will check whenever I can...but with my busy life I don't know how often that will be. Don't know how I'll cope without you lot so you will have to text me with updates....lets hope its only for a VERY short amount of time!

I only used one of those that lasts 6 washes or something, so maybe it wasn't strong enough? My hair is just a darker blonde - very boring! Next time I guess I'll go for a stronger, semi-permanent one. At least I didn't have an allergic reaction to it, which I'm doing all the time at the moment to just about everything else!!

Losing your internet sucks - I hated it even when we missed it for 48hrs the other week 'cause of moving the office! I'll text you the big stuff, as I'm sure Sinead will do too.

You excited bout moving? Where you moving to / who with / why, etc?

Thanks bout my grandparents, it's all pretty crap so I appreciate the thought. These things tend to come in threes, so waiting for the next bombshell...

about things coming in threes...and its always right in our case...its spooky.

Am moving about 15 mins out of town to Headingley which is like the STUDENT VILLAGE of leeds. I have always been city centre based and can walk into main leeds in 5 mins, so will be a bit of a change to have to walk which takes over half an hour being quick, or get the bus.

We're moving cos we're sick of these halls...I've been here 3 years...a different flat everytime and it is WAY past our time to move on. We should have got a house last year...but didn't sort it out on time. Its also cheaper rent...and double beds...and is much more independant. Living here we have to sign our 'guests' in and out....and how old are we?? We just want to experience the whole living together in a house thing...most students do....and we'll be surrounded by them as the whole street is students. Am moving in with the same people am living with now...my 3 best girlies....and a lad from next door...who was meant to be moving in with his friend but he dropped out and so my friend(the one who was pregnant) is moving in his room instead. Which reminds me....I have been meaning to email you about that... haven't really got time now but will try and remember...just wanted to ask some advice over her behaviour after whats happened...cos I know you understand what she's been through.

Speak soon....and will let you know when Im internetless.

Hi, Caroline:

I'm sorry to hear about all the bad news. I'm happy to know that your neck is on its way to recovery, but that is very sad about your two grandmas. I hope the actual diagnoses are more positive than what you're expecting.

Hang in there! Hugs!

Thanks Sinead, how you feeling now? Hope you're done with the bland diet - I actually have quite bland tastes myself (have the diet likes & dislikes of a fussy 10 year old) so it's not a massive problem, but I know for normal people it's big pants...

All caught up on BB now (thanks to the wonders of Sky+), and a few questions:

- Why does everybody not hate Jayne??!!! She's EVIL!! She's proper trying to mess with Aisleynes head, particularly when she's pretending to be nice - I'm willing Ash to re-find her toughness and kick her nasty ass...

- Poor Spiral - how could Ash not snog him playing spin the bottle?! Poor little darlin... His big freak out was kinda scary tho - obviously got something of a short fuse...

- Who does Pete fancy?! At first I thought he didn't feel anything for any of his 'admirers', but then I caught his face when Mikey and Nikki were getting all close and personal at that part - he was NOT a happy chappy, and so I thought maybe he does have feelings for her... But then him and Ash suddenly got inseperable - and man did he enjoy that kiss!! Anything there or is it just me?

- Last, but not least - Mikey and Imogen. How long before a snog do we reckon? And how is Grace feeling?! Hope she feels poop... (Bet she's had her fair share of nookie on the outside tho...) I think Mikey & Im' would make a far nicer couple - less super-bitch and girly-boy, more equal partnership, cute couploe thing.

Parents looked after me nicely ta - though in the end it was more me looking after mum, considering the news. I've just convinced her she has to focus on getting through the couple of weeks til we have the full diagnosis, and keep hoping. Dad just bottles it up, like I usually do, but I know he's feeling ick.

Ah well, the sun is shining, I can move my neck a bit more, I've managed to clean the house up, only one plant died while I was gone and today we had the fuse box changed, so next week work can start on the new bathroom - so good stuff IS happening!!

Hiya..tummy got waay better, better enough to eat and drink what I wanted at the weekend..had a wedding so hungover today and just had chinese for dinner

Going for a nice lunch tomorrow with with girls from work...may be late...P away til Wed in UK and then I finish work Wed night so will be out..this is going to be a BIG week....

No idea why they are tolerating Jane- I would have killed her by now..
Ash was really cruel to Spiral with the spin the bottle, but he overreacted too.
Dunno about Imogen and Mikey..they are sort of non characters but they have been snuggling lot so a snog can't be far off?

Hair was very disappointing - just didn't take at all. It was only one of those weak 'lasts 6 washes' things though, so will try something stronger next time. Everyone always laughs at me - says why would I want to get rid of my natural blonde, like they'd like it, but sometimes you just get a bit bored right? I'm also thinking it sometimes clashes with my face a bit - I'm very pale, but pinky, and don't think pale blonde does my complexion any favours. Thoughts anyone? (I have 2 applications of St Tropez airbrush on in my profile pic)

Yep, had my cuddle - and lots more!
