OMG, I'm stunned!!!! Last week, the gal the owns the doggie daycare next door brought down a tiny shih poo for Harley to play with. It was love at first sight! They have played almost everyday I'm at work for the last week. This morning, I was walking into the office and they told me that the little pup needed a good home. The previous pups owner is moving and just too busy to take care of him and just wanted a good home for Ollie! She stopped in 20 minutes ago, carrying him and said HERE! So, now Harley has a baby brother!!!!

He is a shih tzu poodle mix. He is all black with a patch of white on his chest and a patch on his neck. He can't be more than 3 pounds. He probably won't get over 5-6 pounds full grown! He is 12 weeks right now! I'm stunned and couldn't be more happy! I don't have the camera with me but I'll post pictures soon!!!!!

awww we need pics asap!!!! my sister has a shih-poo, he is cream coloured and is the greatest dog. It will be so nice for Harley to have a playmate. My whole family has shihtzus and they are great dogs, my aunt has two that are her fur babies since she was not able to have "human" children and is houseridden with MCS. My other sister has a shihtzu puppy and they are all so cute and well behaved.

I was trying to coral the new puppy in a laundry basket, thats not working!

Here's his cute little face!

You can see how little he is sitting on my desk next to a water bottle!

Here's the whole crew in the kitchen! The two kitties are on the stool.

Here is Harley and the new puppy playing, its hard to get them together and see there faces!

Ok, I need your help! The gal was calling him Ollie, which is an ok name but I don't like the way Ollie and Harley sound together. I like Oliver just fine but I also like Norton. For those of you are aren't familiar with motorcycles, both Harley and Norton are brands of bikes. Not that I'm a biker or anything but I thought that was kind of cool! So, does the new puppy look like and Oliver or a Norton????

Hi Michelle,

Your new puppy is so cute! That's quite the crew in the kitchen...how are your kitties adjusting to the new puppy?

Harley seems happy with the puppy in the pictures!

They're all so cute I think you can change his name to whatever you want especially since he's still such a young pup. What does Will think you should name him?

what a cute "furry family" you have Michele! How about the name "Davidson" for the new puppy? Since you have "Harley". I like "Oliver", too.

Will doesn't have an opinion about the name. I'm leaning towards Oliver because he does came to Ollie and Oliver but is Clueless when I call him Norton! He is 12 weeks old and I'm sure he would learn the new name but Oliver is cute so I think I'm going to go with that!

The woman who gave him to me just stopped in the office. It was sort of weird. I knew she would be stopping by to give me his medical records but she said her husband was upset she gave him to me and didn't ask for me to pay anything. I told her I can't afford to pay for him but that I would love him and he would have a wonderful, happy home and she said she knew. She gave me his create, food and a bunch of toys and a brush she had bought and a whole big bag of stuff.

I'm feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment. He is the cutest thing and I have enough love for two dogs but I hope I made the right decision, it all happened so fast!

I think that's how you spell that kind of bike. Brad Pitt drives one.

He's just too cute! Actually I think I like Ollie better than Norton. Norton seems like a big dog's name. Ollie is a cute name for a cute dog.

Good luck with him/them michelle!

Ugh. I'm not feeling so well. Its that time of the month, I've had a headache for two days now, hormones or new medications, not sure which? Oliver is a handful!! He's not as "mellow" as Harley. He's a good puppy over-all just more energetic than I'm used to! I've been up at 4am the last two days and the lack of sleep is taking its toll!!

Potty training is going slow. He poo'd on the paper last night but pee'd on the carpet not 2 minutes after I had taken him to his papers! He did pee on the papers this am but it took a lot of coaxing!

Oliver and Harley PLAY, PLAY, PLAY!!!!! I sort of miss just cuddling up with Harley. I hope they both settle down in a few days!

Also, Dr. Newman (the dr I work for) just bought a new spanish water dog!! So, the office will be crawling with doggies. I'm not worried about Harley and Oliver is learning to be quiet in his create but its going to be a bit hectic!

I think I'm suffering a bit from "postpartum depression" or something! I'm sure its the hormones and lack of sleep but I'm wondering what I've gotten myself into!

when I got our dog, Oscar. Sleep deprived to the point of feeling completely off my rocker, and I had hormones issues too. New puppies are hard! But being around Harley will help him adjust, and he'll eventually take after Harley and want to be more like him. They're just really excited right now.

Yes, I'm sure they are both just adjusting!! I'm starting to bond more with Oliver! He is sleeping on my desk in an old sweater of mine!!

Doctor brought his new dog, Rio in and he and Harley are hitting it off very well! So far, things are going good!! I sure could use a nap though! Not sure how I'm going to stay awake until 6pm!!! My eyes burn, I'm so tired! Makes me really consider if I really want a "real" baby??!!

How are things going with your dog now? Is he potty trained and everything?

completely potty trained, has been for months really. Sometimes I think when I let him out he pees just because i tell him to, not because he really needs to. Because he can hold it a LONG time. In most respects he is a great dog, he's very loving and friendly and not aggressive. But...we need to work with him on coming when we call him (sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn't), and also to not jump and not bite. He really only "bites" when excited, and he doesn't bite down, just gets mouthy, but with the baby coming we need to really crack down on that. I got an electronic collar off ebay that I expect in the mail soon which will help. He's gotten to be a bit bigger so we need to just make sure he knows how to listen to us and stay calm. But otherwise, he's great, and I can't imagine life without him! I'm glad I was able to stick it out during the beginning (with help, of course) because we just love him to death.

He sounds great!!! We were told in puppy class to growl at them when they bite, like your clearing your throat kind of sound. Its how the mommy dogs discipline the puppies! It worked with Harley and stops Oliver in his tracks!

Love him!! It's so cute that they've bonded so well....and I can imagine how hard work the pair of them are....but atleast its more company around the house....animals are the best friends when you're feeling down...I swear my cat pugsley ALWAYS knows when I'm upset and just his little face cheers me up....shame he's all the way back home with my family!
