I took my rings off. I'm getting real about it. They're in the jewelry box, and I put on a silver ring instead. First time in six years. It was really hard but it's healing. And I might go buy myself another funky silver ring this week.:)
He told his mom all about her, but said they were just friends. Of course. I told her she was 17, and he knows that everyone knows. his mom was devastated of course.but I'm sure she'll have found out eventually.
And I guess that's not my problem. I also told him I don't want my daughter around her. And oh, the best part? She's got the same name as my daughter.
now I'm seething mad and ready for him to go. He's staying at his moms Monday for 2 weeks, and then there's only I think, a week after that and he's gone.
Still gonna be hard to see him every day to drop off /pick up kayleigh but whatever, i will manage if I have yoy guys to vent to.
thanks a million. reallity has definitely set in and I'm definitely hurt and angry and disgusted rather than piteous and bewildered.

I know this is a massive step, and it will get worse before it gets better - but you will come out of this better.
And you WILL find someone who truly deserves you two!
As for Trevor - yuck, I'm not even wasting words on him. Get your lawyer, get him out, and get on with your life.
I really am proud of you!

Shannon,
I am proud of you too. I know it wasn't easy to do. The first step in getting your life back on track.
I am sorry to hear that his mother is so upset but she has to know the truth. If that were my son I would be so pissed at him messing up his family for a 17 year old.
Stay strong sweetie.
Hugs,

Very true, what Blondie said. It will get worse before it gets better. But sometimes knowing that ahead of time can help.
I'm proud of you too. And yeah....go get the coolest, funkiest silver ring you can find. Make sure you love it! Good for you. I'm still going to check on you Monday, though!

at all but I guess she didn't need to know that 18 was 17. Either way i don't think it mattered much. She's disgusted with him. And supportive of me but at the same time, sort of trapped. i've tried to stay away from her.
