Back From Vacation

Hi ya'll,
Just wanted to let you all know that I am back from California and Mexico.
Overall, I had a good trip. It was great to see Adrian's family, and to get to spend some down time on the beach. Our second week was in California and was quite a lot more stressful because we had to spend A LOT of time driving and I am not great in the car.
I had "D" pretty much the whole time I was away, which was pretty upsetting considering my stomach has been alright lately and when I went to Mexico last year I only had one attack. So that was frustrating. When I was in LA, I had the worst cramping and D that I have had in MONTHS and was near sobbing on the potty, it was awful!  I am feeling better now that I am back at home, though, thank goodness!
When we were in LA, we also saw someone get shot in their head!   I was shocked. We took a wrong turn, ended up in Inglewood and then I saw this guy fall down and all these people swarmed around, it was INSANE! I was pretty much ready to run back to the airport and go home, but we managed to get to our hotel which was in a bit of a better area and we were okay.
We went to Universal Studios, which was fun, especially 'cause Adrian has never been before.
I took some pictures, but haven't gotten them off my camera yet so if I find some good ones I will share a few.
Mexico was def the best part, the weather was amazing and it was nice and relaxing. If I were to do the trip over, I would do crazy running around California first and then the relaxing week in Mexico, but I still had a really good time.
We stayed with Adrian's aunt for a few days in Santa Barbara and it was SO BEAUTIFUL! I was really impressed with everything there.. everywhere was nice, everything was pretty calm.. everything we had to eat was AWESOME. Very nice, I would love to go back there.
So all in all, a good trip (with the exceptions of the bad bits!) and I am glad to be home... but not so glad to be back to work tomorrow, hee hee.

It's too bad you had a not so great time in Cali. I agree with you that next time do the relaxing in Mexico part last so you're not stressed out when you get home.

glad you enjoyed some of it and sorry about the not so good bits. Hows tummy now has it recovered?? We've missed you on the boards.....have you read about tinas online hen party we are having sometime this week???   Cocktails in the LIVING ROOM and little black dress and diamonds dress code! Everyone welcome!

Wow, sounds like a nice trip minus the bad ibs tummy and the shooting.
I think the two of you getitng away together must have been great. Glad you were able to do it!

Great to have you back. The trip sounds amazing! I would love to hear more about Santa Barbara and photos. I keep wanting to go there, so far it hasn't happened but eventually. Just seems like everytime any of us are having way to much fun the IBS just has to make an appearance. Why can't it learn if we're on vacation...its on vacation too?!?!?

I've lived in the L.A. area my whole life, and I have never seen anyone get shot. You just had some bad luck!
Santa Barbara IS beautiful! Hubby is taking me there next weekend as a belated 30th bday trip. We're staying at a B&B and going wine tasting!
