I've had a major flare of the fibro and Ra. I did a couple hours of garden work Sunday and I guess that was too much. I hurt like heck Monday and by Tuesday, I couldn't get out of bed. My eyes flared so much, they looked like something out of a zombie movie. I've been using steroids drops several times a day but they still hurt. Will had to drive me to work because I couldn't see well enough to even drive.
My knees are agonizing. I can't even get up off the toilet without help.  My hands are throbbing masses of useless flesh. Will has the pony tail perfected since I can't do my own hair. I haven't been able to read the computer screen much less type.
Its all a little better today but not doing so well. Called the rheumy was told to give it more time. Thinking about looking for another rheumy for a second opinion but don't have the energy right now. Well, thats all my two functioning fingers can manage to type right now. Just thought I'd let you all know that I'm still here.

I just learned yesterday that my MIL may be dealing with RA too. They did hip xrays yesterday that looked suspicious and sent her for labwork.
I'm so sorry you are in this kind of pain! I'll be praying for you!

I was just going to post to see how you've been doing. I'm really upset that you're going through a flare right now. Ugh! I've been thinking about you a lot and really hoping that your meds would start working soon.

I was wondering if you were ok. I am sorry that you are not feeling well. I really wish you didn't have to deal with all of this pain. I would really like to try and get together this summer. I am off in 2 weeks. If you are feeling up to it I would love for you to come down with Harley to see our place, but if not then maybe we could meet halfway to do something. **gentle hugs**

Thanks Angela. I'd love to bring Harley over to play, we should pick and afternoon and work the details out later. I have a graduduation the weekend of June 10 and a wedding the weekend of June 24, otherwise I'm open.

Thanks Nelly! Yes, Will has been a dear! Good thing he used to have really long hair! He's not a stranger to how the rubber band works!  If I don't start feeling better, I'll be shaving my head though like he does!

I'm sorry about your MIL Bamagirl, I hope the dr's are wrong. Just last week I posted a great article on RA, did you happen to read it? If not, heres the link again http://www.arthritis.co.za/ra.html. You may want to send it to her, it's a bit technical but does a good job of explaning the basics.

Thanks Rachel. Two of my girlfriends said they would come over and if I coach them, they would weed for me and plant some annuals in my pots on the back porch for me. Will has been a dear but I know its taking a toll on him as well. I just hope it turns around, we can't afford for me to not be able to work. He did offer to pay for a cleaning lady once or twice a month when business picks up as I just can't keep up.

Michele,
I am so sorry that you are feeling terrible right now. I haven't been on the boards all day so I didn't know what was going on with you when I sent you an e-mail earlier.
How long does the doc think you need to wait? I know this is difficult for you feeling bad and having things that you want to do. Dont' push yourself to do the gardening. I know you love too but you need to take care of yourself.

Thanks girls. I'm not sure how long the current rheumy expects me to wait. My next appt with him is june 5th. However, I just scheduled an appt with a different rheumy for a 2nd opinion for june 27. Not sure what else they can do but I feel like I need a second opinion as I just can't imagine living the rest of my life like this. My hands are really miserable and its difficult to type.
I've got a couple of friends coming over this weekend to garden for me and other than playing supervisor, I'm going to rest and hope I feel better next week. Love to all
