I used to be poochibelly as my belly was always poochi due to my lovely IBS.

I have been stable since January and also somehow "poochibelly" was disabled or something and I couldn't remember anything that I had put in as passwords etc...so "no more pooch" was born!

A few years ago when I was in Spain (with students) our tour guide (now friend)called me flipada. When I asked her what that meant, she told me with a thick Spanish accent, "Crazy, crazy, happy, happy". And so it has stuck...even when I'm not so happy, just seeing/hearing the name cheers me up.

Soon after we started dating, my husband came up with the cutest, weirdest nicknames he could that I would actually answer to. "Snorkie" is an abbreviation of Snorkie Bear or Snorkelhead.

I would say he's a bit odd, but I do still answer to these names, so I can't really talk.

That's alright. When I was little I called myself Liddy because Lissy (for Melissa) was beyond my oral capabilities. I still respond when people say Lid or Liddy.

Mine's very boring - Blondie has just always been one of my nicknames, and 13 is my lucky number!

I don't use the name on anything else - on most it's Steelercaz13, which is after the ice hockey team I follow and my lucky number.

Very boring!

My name is Lisa and everyone calls me Little Lis because I'm just 5 foot tall and only weigh 90lbs. I'm afraid I'll be that name forever since I'm 38 years old and have never been able to put on weight nor will I grow anymore!!!!

When I was little my older brother didn't much care for his littel sister. He thought of me as a Toad. So he started calling me Toady. And the fact I love frogs helped it along. My nephews call me Auntie Toady.

cailin is the Irish (gaelic) for girl. I couldn't decide whether to call myself an "Irish girl" Cailin eireannach (I decided was too long) a nice girl "Cailin deas" but because I was sick when I signed up I was lacking in imagination I just left it at "cailin"

I think it really comes from farmhands or rural, working class people being outside all day with shirts on and short hair. There necks would sun burn, thus red neck??!!

I graduated from Augustana College (or, as the locals call it, "Augie"). I loved Augustana!

I was a camp counselor during the summer and part of the "tradition" was to not let the campers know your real name until the last day. So, we went by nicknames until the big surprise (hey, the kids got a kick out of trying to discover our real names before they were told). Thus, I was dubbed Augie.

When I registered on this site, the names Beth, BethA, BethAnn were all taken...so Augie was resurrected.

Sailing Away

Sailing Away comes from the fact that my fiance and I enjoy our free time on our sailboat "Serenity" and keep planning our next sailing adventure. Last year was the Greek Islands and right now we are trying to debating where next. He wants the Bahamas and I am interested in the sailing along the coast of Italy. Eventually the goal is to go around the world, right now I would just settle for a sail around the lake for the weekend.

Believe me! I don't try to stay this weight! I HATE it! I'd love to weigh 100lbs. I just can't no matter how hard I try! I have IBS D and it has a lot to do with me being thin. Just when I start to get a little heavier I get a flare up and I lose 3 lbs instantly!

I do however, eat lots of junk food(cookies, brownies, candy)and luckily it doesn't affect my IBS(which is not the norm)but I swear it's the only thing that keeps any weight on me!

It's all in the metabolism I think!!!!!
