it has rained every single day for an entire week.. virtually all day long!!

I'm really getting sick of this. The news people are saying that in Massachusetts we are still behind on rainfall and that we need this. Well I can't believe it, I feel like its rained more than it hasn't this spring

It feels the same to me here in Michigan. We even had trees down because of powerful rains the other day. I thought it was supposed to be APRIL showers....and MAY flowers!!

I'm sick of it, too. The report this a.m. said it is going to rain all this coming week, also. There may be a few breaks, but no real sun shiny days. UGH !!!

It's day 3 of rain and it's in the forecast for the next 7 days! Plus, it's cold and windy too! What the heck?

As your signature says....where is spring? We actually had the possibility of snow flurries in the forecast! Thankfully, it didn't happen. This weather is depressing and makes it hard to do my daily walk!

It's nice here now but for months it rained just about every single day. In January, there was one day it didn't rain and I think the same for February. Oy! But the flowers now are beautiful for it.

DC is pretty bad too. I sleep reeeeally well when it's raining though, and since I'm on the top floor of my apartment building I can hear the rain on the roof. So relaxing.

What's the weather like in England in July? I'll be going to Spain for 3 weeks and then going to visit a friend that lives in London. I haven't seen her in 15 years. I'm so excited!

What do they call that? The sun? I'm pretty sure that's what it's called. Anyway, it was out on and off this afternoon, but I think we're back to lots of rain in the forecast for the rest of the week, too. Bah!

I grew up in south east Portland, and I do not miss the rain. But I miss all the many flowers and the international rose gardens. Here in south west wyoming we average 312 sunny days each year ... although the winters are just plain cold.

NH is in a state of emergency - roads are washing away!! This is so miserable. We have had over a foot of rainfall. This never happens in our neck of the woods!!!!

I'm pretty new to Portland, My husband and I moved here in October. Just in time for the dark, dark winter. Which drove me crazy. Everything is in full bloom now and it's beautiful. I love horticulture so it makes the winter worth it to me for the gardening that follows.

I'm so excited about my trip and seeing my friend again. We used to tease each other about our language differences. She came home from the bar one night and told me she was "pissed". Naturally, I asked her what was wrong. She said, "nothing, I'm just pissed". So I was confused. Finally we straightened it out that pissed in the US is "mad" and in England it's "drunk". So funny...

Like apartment vs. flat, suspenders vs. braces, butt vs. bum, mom vs. mum, elevator vs. lift...so many things we laughed about. I miss her.

Hehe the one that confuses me is the crisps - as in chips for you - and chips which is fries for you...fries is even more confusing because we also have some crisps called fries and some fastfood outlets call their chips fries! I was baffeled when I went to florida (i was only 11) have a fantastic time, I have never been to London I keep begging my boyfriend to take me!

hope the weather is nice for you

My friend said to me one day, "Do you like chuna?" I said, "what?" She said it again, "Chuna". I said, "I have no idea what you're trying to say". So she exaggerated for me "Tuuuu naaaa Fish!" I didn't have a clue. I said, "Why didn't you just say that?...there's no "ch" in Tuna!" It was funny.

One night we got together with a couple other gals we were going to school with (in Mexico). It was me, Jen, a girl from Ireland and a girl from Scotland. They all teased me about my accent. I had such trouble understanding the girl from Scotland. But they all said I was the one with the accent.

I got it too, the last time I was in Spain...because I have a more Mexican accent. Oh well...
