I'm really getting sick of this. The news people are saying that in Massachusetts we are still behind on rainfall and that we need this. Just in time for the dark, dark winter. Which drove me crazy. Everything is in full bloom now and it's beautiful. We used to tease each other about our language differences. She came home from the bar one night and told me she was "pissed". Naturally, I asked her what was wrong. She said, "nothing, I'm just pissed". So I was confused. Finally we straightened it out that pissed in the US is "mad" and in England it's "drunk". So funny... Like apartment vs. flat, suspenders vs. braces, butt vs. bum, mom vs. mum, elevator vs. lift...so many things we laughed about. I said, "what?" She said it again, "Chuna". I said, "I have no idea what you're trying to say". So she exaggerated for me "Tuuuu naaaa Fish!" I didn't have a clue. I said, "Why didn't you just say that?...there's no "ch" in Tuna!" It was funny. One night we got together with a couple other gals we were going to school with (in Mexico). It was me, Jen, a girl from Ireland and a girl from Scotland. They all teased me about my accent. I had such trouble understanding the girl from Scotland. But they all said I was the one with the accent. I got it too, the last time I was in Spain...because I have a more Mexican accent.
