Well my surgeon said that if you're over weight and your breasts are composed of mostly fat tissue then yes they will grow back so there's no point in having the surgery.

He said that if you lose a significant amount of weight and your breasts are still large then that means they are composed of mostly "breast tissue" which does not grow back.

Unfortunately for me it wasn't a matter of losing weight (I would rather go on a diet than go through surgery obviously) because I'm only 125 pounds (and I had DD's) so surgery was the right decision for me.

Although I have heard there are some surgeons who will perform the surgery regardless of your weight in the US. However in Canada because this surgery is covered by insurance they require that you first try to lose weight before attempting the surgery (if you are in fact what they consider to be "overweight").

Hope this helped!!!

Well, I can't speak for the others, but I do know my husband, and I can assure you that his disappointment is far greater when the weight of my chest causes me extreme back pain than his disappointment in the size of flesh he fondles.

Okay, Nelly, your original post was hilarious, BUT--

There are over 50 anonymous users browsing the message board tonight. How many do you want to bet typed "boobies" into a search engine and somehow ended up on this site!?

I totally agree. Mine just kinda grew... out. I don't ever wear a bra, except at work where I kinda have to strap them down. I don't understand... I don't have any stretch marks or anything, and everything's still pointing up. They're just, you know, wider!!

Ugh!

Amitriptyline is a tricyclic AD. I'm not taking it at the AD strength (150-200mgs) but rather just 6.25mg a night (one quarter of a 25mg pill).

It helps "re-wire" my gut, so that in the morning when I'd usually get the first pangs of a stomach ache I get the sweats instead. Weird, but it works.

I'm sorry Bevvy, I didn't know you had such bad back pain. I'm glad it worked out well for you. I just think it's something every woman should think about before automatically going that route. It's not something I know enough about and I think I'll keep quiet before putting my foot in my mouth again.

I'm 5'4" 129ish and I'm a 32D or 34C. What most people don't take into consideration is that the letter part of the size just indicates the difference in inches between the measurement around your ribcage and the measurement around the fullest part of your boobs. So, if your ribcage is 32 inches and your boobs are 33, then your an A, 34 and your a B, etc. People are often surprised when I tell them I wear a D since my boobs don't seem tremendously large, but their circumference is 4 inches more than my 32inch ribcage, which is pretty small. Of course, 32D is about the hardest to find size, so I end up wearing a 34C most of the time. 32Ds of course fit much better, but the only time it makes a huge difference is when I'm shopping for a strapless bra. A 34C simply won't stay up or hold me up, so it's gotta be a 32D.

Mine came from the boobie fairy as well. When I started 8th grade I had basically nothing, like 32A or something like that -- I just wore a bra so I wouldn't be the only one in the locker room without one. By the end of that year I was a B, and then I totally skipped being a C and was a D by the time I did back to school shopping before 9th grade. Of course the rumor around school was that I'd gotten a boob job. Gotta love 9th graders! Of course at the time I still weighed like 105, so they really did looke huuuuge on me. Now that I'm more adult-shaped they just look biggish, but not crazy huge. Plus I'm a law student and I like to be taken seriously at school, so I really pile on the layers. When my school friends run into me on a Saturday night when I'm wearing something low-cut, they are always in shock. My friend Alice calls them my surprise boobies. It's fun! And yes, the bf is a fan!

You're just trying to get on her good side because she has big boobs!

Haha just kidding -- it's nice to see some contrition once in a while.

That's hilarious about the surprise boobies. I know what you mean about dressing professionally for work and not wanting to draw attention to them.
