to everyone who reads or answers my posts. I only became a member a short while ago after lurking for a while. I feel like I can pop in here and ask about anything and someone will answer! I have never talked with anyone else about my IBS, I don't know another soul in person who has it. I have found out more information in the last few weeks here than in the last 12 years!!
You are all great!!
Thanks!

Same here. It is nice to have others who understand the struggles that come along with IBS-esp. since so many even within the medical field are not very validating of how it affects lives. Good luck with your wedding plans in the next few weeks!

You're welcome! I bet there are a few people you may know who have IBS but they may not know it, or they don't want to admit it.

Congrats on your upcoming marriage. Can I ask you a question? With IBS-D, how were you able to continue in a relationship? I am IBS-A, and I find it difficult.

I'm glad this has been helpful. It's amazing how many people also have IBS. -nt new

Thomas is the best person in the world. With IBS he understands what I can eat and can't. Why we don't go out bar hopping like I did in uni. He understands why for two weeks out of three we're not very intimate. I guess I really lucked out. He even has sympathy pains when I'm really sick, and misses off-ramps because he's too worried about me and not where we are driving to! He is always my support. We've been together 8 years so he understands now, although when we first started living together it was tough for him to understand. I read him excerpts from books and tell him what is going on 100%. Can't hide it from him anyways!! I got a good one!! And I love him, LOTS. I wish you luck, there are still good guys out there, they are hiding though!! You have to wade through the toxic waste to find the pearl at the bottom.
