They'll look perfect. Sometimes the fake nails with french can look too white if your dress is not snow white too.
I kept my nails painted and filed for the couple of months before the wedding and they got strong because of that. To be perfectly honest my nails are only properly visible in two photos from the wedding day and neither of them is going into the album. Also, not sure if you wear contacts but I found them difficult with the fake nails.

Also you will need to book your false tan, highlights, buy your stockings/pantyhose, sort out the right footwear, your headpiece veil or headdress, your makeup (you do want it to be just right) etc etc.
In the months before our wedding we wrote the to do lists and realised that the bride beautification really was a full time job!

I have had acrylic nails for a VERY long time. It's not vanity, believe it or not, but necessity. My own nails are paper-thin and very painful. They break off before they grown out, below the quick. It ain't pretty.
I have fills done once a month. I used to have to have it done twice a month, but I found a new manicurist who uses a better product that lasts twice as long. It's called Tammy Taylor. The old product was OPI. It costs me $25 for a fill, or $25 once a month.
I have never had an infection but I did get mold once, from all the rowing I was doing, my hands constantly in water. Mold happens when water sneaks between the natural nail and the artificial nail and can't get out. It's an easy remedy and caused no problem if taken care of immediately.
If you have nails of your own that are not paper-thin like mine and don't hurt like mine, then I would not recommend acrylic nails. They have something else out now -- I think it's plastic -- that's less "intrusive" but isn't nearly as strong as acrylic. My natural nails are so bad that I can't have anything but acrylic.
Whatever you do, don't do them yourself; see a good manicurist and have them professionally done. First ask what product she uses. Then budget for that amount at least once a month. I'm lucky, though, because few gals can go that long between fills. Tammy Taylor is a great product that works well for me, so I only need to go every 4 weeks; I've gone 5 weeks before, but my nails were all lifting by the 5th week.
I did learn how to do fills myself because there are times when a nail will break, and you need to fix it immediately. If it breaks below the quick, it's very painful.
Really, if your own nails are half decent, if you have ANY "free edge" at all, don't do the acrylics. Just go to a good manicurist and get a nice natural manicure for the wedding; you wouldn't ever be sorry.

Tommy's so lucky! All he needs to do is shower, shave and get dressed in his tux the day of the wedding. That's it. 
We women have it kinda rough, ha ha, but it's FUN getting pampered.

Yes my nails are pretty decent. I will just get a manicure the day before the wedding.

A nice set f fake nails looks amazing! But if they cause more harm than good, they're not worth it IMHO.
