Some of you may remember that back in September we had our beloved Rusty put down and then we adopted Annie at the Golden Beginnings Rescue.

Well, she had a brother with her and we really wanted to take both dogs but being that they are very big and a handful we just couldn't do it.

We found out from the Rescue who adopted her brother and they live close to us. We got together at the park so they could see each other. Well, Annie was so happy to see her brother that she licked his face all over. It was the cutest thing. We are planning to let them have play dates so they can see each other more often.

I wanted to share a couple of pics of this wonderful event. Can you tell they are sister & brother?

They look identical! I think that is such an awesome idea that they are going to have "playdates". They are lucky to have such great owners.

I think play dates are a wonderful idea. Years ago when I had Golden Retrievers, we used to get my male together with his brother(my BIL adopted him) and they were always so excited to see each other. Congrats on being able to be able to find her brother. I'm still trying to dig up info on our new pup, but think I may be at a dead end. That's just fine though, he's a super wonderful little guy. Congrats again.

Hi Barbie,
That is so sweet. They look identical too!

That's so nice that you're going to set up play dates for them.

Annie is one beautiful dog

How did you find Annie? Is there a website for dogs to be rescued of a certain breed?

Annie's a goldern retriever?

I can't believe how much the look and act like brother and sister. Yes, dogs are people too!

Hi Beth,

Yes, Annie is a Golden Retiever....all 85 lbs of her.

Here's a link to the website where we got her:

http://www.wcnet.net/golden-beginnings-of-texas/

I believe most breeds have rescues.....If you are interested just go to Google and enter whatever breed you want and "rescue" and I bet you will come up with something.

Annie has been a wonderful dog and very well behaved I might add.

Here's another pic of me giving her a kiss.

These two gorgeous dogs are VERY lucky indeed! I hate to think of what they might have gone through before Barbie found them, but I KNOW she's making up for it now.
