I have a nasty case of strep throat. Mmm, tasty.
I'm on a pretty intense dose of anti-biotics, so I'm hoping (praying!) that they won't hurt me too badly. Since I'm a carrier for strep, I've become immune to penicillin and amoxicillin, and am now left with cefaclor. Since I've also used and abused that particular anti-b., I'm on a double dose. Ick, nasty strawberry/banana pink goo.
I just find it odd that I've caught it now, when we are entering spring. Silly mother nature!

Yuck  I had strep throat a few years back in the middle of summer - put me in bed for what were probably the most beautiful 2 weeks of the whole season!

Sorry to hear you are sick kiddo. TIna has been really sick for the past few days. My boss told me that flu season (which I know you don't have)started late this year. In fact because it started late, doctors are still able to give out flu shots.
But, I can't wait for Spring to be upon us. I hope you feel better soon!

Hey Isa, like Tommy said, I'm super sick and also on antibiotics. Let's rent some chick flicks and pig out. ha ha
But seriously, I've had strep throat, it's super painful. Eat LOTS of soy ice cream and popsicles, anything ice cold is soothing as you probably already know. Hang in there.

I cannot believe how many of us are sick right now! I have a major sore throat and if it doesn't turn into a cold I too will be heading to the doc with what's prob strep YUCK! I used to get it all the time as a kid...and when I taught kindy I got it every single time the kids got it...can you imagine? That was at least 4 times that year!!!

I had no idea the flu season started late this year...I hope that's not what I have  I'll keep ya posted! (I am thinking tho if it were I'd be in bed all day....? I've never had the flu!! I've had plenty of other stuff but never the flu, thank G-d!)
Thanks again for posting this...if it's not the flu this time maybe I'll go get the shot when I feel better!
