Nelly,
Have you ever checked with the manufacturer of the med....sometimes they have a patient assistance program and can get your meds for free if you are low income. I got Prozac for my sister that way.

Move to a different country that helps pay for medicine.
By the way, how many are you buying? All you need is 1 to kill the yeast in your body.

You should only need one pill...it is such a strong medication that my mother (a nurse for at least 437 years!!!) has a cow every time I use one.
How many are you buying and do you mind sharing with us why your doctor prescribed so many? I have to admit I am curious...it seems strange.

it used to be 35$ for 2 pills after insurance- was 30$ per pill.. there is now a similar med out in generic but its not considered exactly the same so they don't always replace one with the other.. my doc let me get that and it was only a 10$ copay for 2 pills last time.

I have to buy thirty. Yep, 30. I'm taking one a day for a month. I tested way off the charts for candida infection, even tho at the moment I do not have a yeast infection (down there). But it's a party in my stomach, and all the bacteria are invited!!!!
I read online that women only have to take one 100mg pill to cure a yeast infection (down there). I'm taking double strength those, times thirty. Sorry, it helps me saying it out loud.
I hear Canada is a great place to live.

My 3 candida tests for antibodies IGG, IGA, and IGM tested off the charts high. Also, for the C. Pneumoniea test, the normal range was the ratio (less than) <1:32. My ratio was 1:128 (One Hundred, twenty-eight). I am a bacteria farm, evidently. (*cough, cough*)
The 30 200mg pills are supposed to knock out the candida, like out of this solar system. In my doctor's words, "Yeah, it's that bad."
No wonder I feel awful. I took my first this morning. After a handful he said I'll feel better, but I have to take all of them. Sigh. Only 29 more days to go.
