My husband has just flown out of state for an interview (finally)in his field. He is in Forensic Science and jobs are so hard to come by. We are so broke and it seems like every job he gets cuts his hours after they promise full time. I am barely able to make ends meet and if something expensive happens, it's going to collections cause we just don't have it. But this job would be the tool to get us going in the right direction. It pays well enough to pay off all our debt within a year. And it has all the benefits a real job comes with. He's been done with school since 2001. It took him 4 years of serious searching just to find an intership. I've never heard so many "nos" before. And finally, after many more nos, he has an interview. So I am asking for your wishes or prayers or will power or anythig else you'd like to throw our way. All we need is this job and we have the means to right everything else. And while I'm on the topic of my hubby, I'd just like to say how much I love him. He is so wonderful to me. Thank everybody.

and prayers and all that. i very deeply understand your feeling-it's totally up to ME to get a teaching job to make things ever get easier here. DH has a good job but won't see a raise for another 4+ years. And subbing is not helping us get out of debt.

So I'm praying this works out for you!!! And glad you're so into your DH. I am super into mine too!

The interview went well. My husband asked them how he did before he left and they told him he did very well. They are supposed to be sending out a letter in the next couple weeks to all of the people they interviewed to let each know their status. So now it's a waiting game. I'm so nervous. He needs this so bad. Not just financially but for self-esteem and self respect. He feels so bad that he isn't working a career job yet. And he doesn't like where he's working at all. I'll let you all know what's in the letter when we get it. Thank you for all of thoughts and wishes and prayers. We really appreciate it.

What a cool job....my husband is a police officer and we love the shows on A&E where a foresic scientist is needed. It is a little sick but yet must be so incredible fascinating!

I also used to watch Law & Order SVU all the time and thought that the ME position would be an interesting one.

I will be praying for you both!

We are supposed to hear about the San Jose job some time the end of next week. In the meantime, my husband has gotten another interview near where we're living for an entry level Police Officer position. Something that he has also would like to do but just recently told me about. He would still be able to apply the education he has in Forensics to it and there's the added bonus of doing something that directly benefits society. I hope he gets one of these. I really need some new pants and I am too broke to buy any. LOL.

Well, Dan didn't get either of the jobs he interviewed for and has gotten no interest from anyone else. Oh well, that's life, right? He'll keep trying. Thanks for all your thoughts.

I too, hope something comes along that is the right job for him. It's rough out there.

I am currently sending out resumes for jobs....and the rejection is not easy...especially when you reach the final interview part...You feel so close.

I'll keep good thoughts for you two. You are lucky to have one another.

Not exactly what he wanted. The pay is good enough for now though, and there are good benefits. He'll basically be rolling prints and doing whatever you do with those after you have them. But at least it's semi-related to what he wants and he doesn't have to work at Safeway anymore. He hated it there. And he'll finally have a regualr schedule.
