I got a bouquet of red carnations and white daisies in a red vase with a white teddy bear in a red sweater with a white heart on it attached to the vase. They were delivered to my office. And they smell wonderful. I smile every time I get a scent of them. My hubby and I have been together for 11 years (married 8 in june)and this is only the second time he has had flowers delivered to my work. The first time was last Valentine's Day. He seems to have suddenly got a romantic streak and I am alright with that!!

Hi guys!

I didn't have very high expectations this year 'cause Adrian has an exam today and had mentioned not being able to much yesterday for Valentine's Day. We had a great one, though!!

He got me a really sweet card with a little love letter in it (he heard a woman on the radio saying men should do that, hee hee) and he got me a little case and arm band for the iPod nano he got me for my birthday. He also got me that warming massage gel 'cause I keep seeing it on TV, and a magazine... 'cause I love magazines... hee hee.
We went out for dinner to a Greek restaurant and had a VERY not safe for IBS meal which was so so good.
When we came home, I fell asleep on the couch for a little while and when we went to go to bed he had put little tea light candles all over the bedroom and rose petals everywhere!
I was so suprised, but it was so nice and romantic and wonderful... it was my best VD yet. Hee hee.

Cheers!

Well. I went to my honey's for dinner, & when he opens the door, there were all these candles lit & nice soft music playing. He brought me over to his dining room table & there was a paraphin wax treatment ready to go, along with my present. So, we made dinner, (pasta w/ light alfredo sauce, carrots, salad, & these chicken meatballs flavored with taryaki & pineapple seasonings YUMMMYYY!!!) We ate by candlelight, then opened our gifts,( a spa CD, witch is sooo relaxing for me),then watched the Charlie Brown Valentine cartoon, to wich he fell asleep, then he massaged my feet & we did a paprphin wax treatment! What a nice night! I got the BEST man in the world!!

That's cool Christie! My hubby and I have been together 12 years and will be married 8 in July. My hubby only sent flowers to work once and they were roses that were in really bad shape. He was so mad that he said he would never send them like that again. He would only bring them in person!

For Valentine's Day, I got a huge bouquet of flowers, a 2lb box of chocolate, a devil bear stuffed animal, a mug, cute socks, and 2 cards. We're all about the cliched Hallmark stuff, haha.

For my birthday, Adam got me a gorgeous white gold and diamond necklace... it's 3 concentric rings, they move when I do and really catch the light... I love it.

Then we went out for sushi, which was kind of a joint V'day-birthday thing.

Angela - My dad gave me a Sandisk mp3 player that's almost identical to the Shuffle - I wanted one for the same reason you did. I just love it! It's amazing how good those little things sound, huh?

Well, we agreed that I would just go to the gym and we would go out on Sat. We "started" V-day about 11:45pm 2/13.... {{giggle giggle}}.... anyway... I got up and made Shane breakfast and when I packed his lunch the night before I put V-day stickers all over everything inside... LOL So, Shane calls me several times 2/14 asking how things were....(more times then normal)... what he was getting at was to find out if my roses had been delivered yet but did not want to spoil the suprise.... well, they were really late delivering and I ended up leaving work before they finally got there at 7:30pm (I found out this morning)... so I walk in the door at home after the gym and there are a dozen roses on the table... I say, "what did you do, go pick them up?" he said "no....I bought you another dozen cuz MY WIFE IS GONNA HAVE HER ROSES ON VALENTINE'S DAY....so now you just have two, one for the office and one for home"......so sweet!!! I have him a card, box or choc and baked him some cookies after dinner which was just Subway..... LOL Then we "went to bed"...hehehe The roses were waiting here for me this morning when I walked in the office.....

Chocolate from the dollar store and a silly gorilla from Walmart.

Mich said the gorilla looked sad & lonely by itself on a shelf, as if it was thinking "Who'd be dumb enough to buy me?" So he bought it.

He also bought a bunch of student valentines (because all the cards were gone, he said) and wrote silly things.

So, nothing big, but it was sweet.

I got him green plastic silverware because green is his favorite color and he hates washing dishes.

I know, I know. We are indeed lame. But also quite goofy in person.

Nice gift!

What did I get? I got a lovely day with hubby. We went to Applebee's for lunch, and of course I ordered off the WW menu. It was excellent; I had skewered steak, my first in over 25 years. It was a strange experience, chewing that first piece of dead cow, but I got the hang of it after awhile, dipping each piece in the teriyaki sauce. YUMM-OH!

I gave hubby a gift certificate from his favorite gun shop, and he gave me my fave plant (cyclamen) and my fave Oscar body bath.

It was a lovely day. God gave us sunshine. Although it was cold, it was nice to see that strange phenomena in the sky. Life is sweet.

My sweetie pie got me a very mushy card, a box of chocolates (in a heart-shaped box), a beautiful Fossil wallet, dinner at my favorite Thai restaurant and lots of hugs and kisses!!!

I made him this (a heart-shaped bannana chocolate vegan cake):

he left for Detroit Monday and won't be back until tomorrow night. It stinks!! And I said to him this weekend: " Are you going to send me flowers on Valentine's Day". I NEVER get flowers---ever!!! So you'd think this would make him think...hmm...I'm going to miss V-Day, I should send her flowers. NOPE! And trust me, it's over, he won't try to make up for it in anyway. SIGH. Well, our anniversary is in one month so if I have to I'll start hinting early!

Well... there were some good points. All of my friends were there for the most part and I gave them their gifts. I gave my two best friends plushies; Jenni got a little pink frog and Alicen a little bear with faerie wings. My friend Shaun could tell that I was pretty bummed out over a conversation that some people were having. Mature content stuff which fires me up. So he went and made me a valentine card and a nice hug. However, he left and didn't come back in time for me to give him his Valentine; a kiss and a labrador plushie with a heart on it that I attatched to it that reads, "Will you go out with me?" on it.A pretty disapointing end brought to an otherwise nice day.

However, One of the real upsides that has given me a lot of motivation is getting back that dragon head sculpture I made in ceramics class. its done and looks so great! I want to get some pictures of it to show all you guys!! I am brining it back to school tomorrow to show all my friends! I'll guard it with my life so it doesn't brake.

I hope everyone else's Valentine's Day was a lot more pleasent than mine... I wonder how Aaron is doing... we broke up 3 weeks ago.

They LOVE it. It's so tiny and fits in their pockets...BUT careful Casey, I almost washed one of my son's! He left it in his front pocket and couldn't find it for a few days. I just happen to step on his dirty clothing before washing it and found it. Didn't break though!!! Whewwww!

For Valentine's Day I got a Rasberry and Cream Yankee candle and a bag of dark chocolate wilbur buds! I got hubby a box of butter cream candies. His favorite. We are doing some work on the house(finishing the basement)and getting a puppy in March so we are trying to watch our spending these days which is perfectly fine for me. I'm really not that hard to please!!!!

BTW you should be spoiled on Vday Casey, it's your birthday too!

we blew almost every penny in our checkign accounts on this visit with Cassi and Jason- dress fitting, other half the dress, dinners for 4 at all 3 of their potential rehearsal dinner spots, her shoes, her foundation garments, etc... but I got some amazing compliments from my daughter, a sappy card and a bouquet of candy lollipops that is safe for me! and DH got sick and barely made it through dinner that night, but at least he tried... and he complimented me on the new shirt I wore for the first time that day!

Isn't the shuffle great? I have one that I won at the office christmas party and I use it all the time.
