Good luck Tina! There is hope. If it comes back Chron's it would appear that they caught it at the perfect time. Since you don't seem to be suffering with full blown Chron's symptoms I can tell you that a woman I work with's daughter was diagnosed a year ago. She always thought she had IBS all these years until one night she developed severe pain and ended up in the ER. They did loads of blood work and I think an CT Scan or US of her abdomen. This revealed a narrowing in the illeum or somewhere there which indicated the suspicion for Chron's. Never did they do a Endoscopy which I thought was what diagnosed chron's but I only have read that on these boards so who knows. Her blood count was a little low, not bad. They put her on a common Chron's drug, (Asacol I think)but honestly I think the only thing she complains about now is bloating. She can still drink alcohol, eat exotic foods. I keep thinking "man my IBS is way worse than her Chron's"! I don't know maybe the drugs she is on actually helped her IBS symptoms too. I don't know but the point is, I think she's kinda like your case and is manageable. If you do have it you should actually feel better that you know the cause of your symptoms. I often wonder when I get terrible flare ups if I have some other dreaded disease. But sometimes it would make me feel better if there were rhyme or reason to my attacks!

Good luck with the test. Tommy is a sweetie for going with ya. I'm sure he didn't have to think twice about accomanying his new bride for a yicky test! I told ya he's a keeper. Those Aries men......THEY ARE THE GREATEST! I know, I have one!!!!!

Bill took me for mine.. and it came back all negative the second time.. the first time was iffy so they diagnosed me anyway- turns out it was a misdiagnosis and I am so glad they made me have the tests again and I have IBS instead because treating it as Crohns didn't solve my problems!

Wow thanks, that gives me hope that I could have a mild case and that it could be very manageable. I have been doing a lot of reading about Crohn's and it's all super scary.

I agree that catching something early and not waiting for a full blown attack is good. I wonder what they'll find though. Maybe I'm in denial but honestly I've never felt better!

Yes Tommy is a super sweetie. When I had this test done 2 years ago the ex looked at me with almost a look of disgust and said that there was no way he was taking any time off for a test. And when he got home from work the night I had the test, he didn't even want to hear anything about it.

Tommy is such a refreshing change from that jerk. Yes Aries men rule!!! I have no doubt that Tommy and I have a great marriage ahead that will last forever!

Ya true, 3 months does sound more like it. ha ha

I had the test before and while it's SUUUUUUUUUPER DISGUSTING I was able to keep it down so I am hoping I'll be able to do the same this time around.

I'm glad Tommy's able to come with me too. I know I'll be VERY nervous that day.

I hope you get some answers soon. Hang in there and keep us posted. I work with 2 women who have Chrones and they are healthier and can eat foods I can't even touch! So, even if it turns out to be chrones, you'll manage just fine...I know you will! Especially with all the support you get.

It's so weird that you have no symptoms. Usually people with chrones lose lots of weight and hurt like heck...from what my coworkers say. Glad you haven't had those experiences!

Thanks Bethie. It's VERY encouraging to hear that not everyone with Crohn's has a severe case of it.

Nope, I don't hurt, having lost weight, etc. We'll see if I even have it soon enough.
