i was just reminiscing about one aspect of my trip to london a couple of years ago, and i was wondering if it's still around - oi bagel. i found a few locations in london, don't know if it's elsewhere. my roommate and i just totally loved their food, and sighed and sighed about them not being in the states. they seemed sort of new, maybe like they might not last... just wondering if someone could, you know, say hi to the next oi bagel you pass on the street. sigh...

There's loads of Bagel places in London. One of my favourite was near Leicester Square (can't remember the name).

Mmmmmm.... you've got me craving a Bagel now!!

the brilliant thing about the oi bagel chain is that it's more than just a bagel place – they had (have?) all sorts of interesting gourmet-ish toppings – i remember loving a goat cheese & carmelized onion one that also had some sort of fruit spread on it. i mean, three weeks in europe and it's one of the favorite things we did? bagels? special bagels. i remember one on fleet street, and one in the mall/tube stop by our hostel, but of course now i don't remember where that was.

i should become their spokeswoman.
