Who has started their shopping?
Anyone done?
I want to be done by December 1st this year...but my husband rolled his eyes when I said that...he says I said that last year...but I honestly don't remember proclaiming such ambition LOL

Oh man.. I was just starting to plan my budget and write down who I need to get gifts for today. I'd like to get mine all done early but know it's not going to happen.

I have a few things bought....but no where near done. I think catalogs are going to come in handy this year. I also need to get started on our Christmas newsletter. Every year I write our yearly highlights in the form of a poem with photos. Everyone seems to enjoy it.

OH what a great idea with the poem!! My family letter will be pretty small and boring this year so maybe I should turn it into a poem...keep it exciting... LOL
Great idea Nugget!

LOL - Jen! That IS exciting...but we did nothing over the summer or anything else so all we got is our baby news which everyone will know before we write the letter.
I will have to do some really exciting stuff for the next two months so I have lots to talk about LOL.
Next year when the baby is born I will have something every month I am sure. *sigh* Until then.....

I am not done, but I've actually started. I know, even I can't believe it! LOL About a month ago, I ordered a ton of stuff, and got a big chunk done.
Now buyng for Chris - forget it. I have to wait until the very last minute and hide it. He is very sneaky and likes to peep. He's definitely challenging to shop for! So, needless to say, I will never be done shopping early.

Very true, Beaglelover - but I know with all the Christmas shopping I end up having to do (shopping for myself and my grandparents), I NEED to start early to avoid being stressed and having an attack during the Christmas season!

I just got so depressed when I went in the local Eckerd's the other day and the Santa Clauses were right in front of the Halloween candy. Give me a break! It looked so silly! Can't we enjoy one holiday without the other? Thanksgiving just gets lost in the shuffle! my boys' birthdays are inNovember and December so I really get stressed this time of year. (no, I didn't plan it that way. They are 13-months apart, only because God has a sense of humor. Ha!) With one son graduating from high school this year and my parents celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary about the same time. AAAAAAhhhhhhh!!!!! I'm going to need that anti-depressant this year!

I am DONE with the exception of my 2 children. There are a few things I still have yet to purchase, but it's all decided and I just have to go pick them up. My hubby and I do a shopping thing together for the kids, so I wait for that.

Are you nuts! I think you MUST be nesting - it's only October! Christmas shopping in mid-November, yes, but not YET! Good luck getting it done - I did it early last year as we were going away skiing and it was great not to have to rush around the shops with every other person in town.

I am soooo behind this year! Normally i have a good few presents bought, but things have gone completley pear shaped this year,am putting pen to paper and writing my list this week. Its so much more hassle free when you do your shopping early,i feel i can enjoy the christmas build up much better knowing that its all done!

I've started mine...very slowly, but we bought the boys a really nice used pool table (not cheap) so they have their big present already. I'm buying some pool ads, pictures to frame for all 3 of my boys(especially the 43Y.O.!) I'll get going after Halloween!!! Mary
