Oh my, this is terrific!!!! It will be torture not telling people! I know every time I got a positive, I just wanted to scream it from the top of the mountain! LOL!!

Have you been taking folic acid? If not, start TODAY! Also, a good b-6 and b-12 vitamin in addition to pre-natals is a good idea! It will help with the morning sickness and help keep your energy up a little! The one thing my high risk dr told me to take for morning sickness was the b vitamins and unisom! Yes, the over the counter sleeping tablet! It has some sort of anti-nausea med in it and it DID help!! Obviously, it will make you tired but sleepy is better than throwing up in my book!

So should I worry if I'm not having morning sickness already? My mom had it bad, so I assumed I'd have it...but I've been fine. I have been taking prenatal, but I will ask the doctor about the other stuff. I'm seeing him tomorrow, I'm glad I don't have to wait long! It's funny, for a regular gyno checkup, I always have to wait, but I guess they figure pregnant ladies come first!

And you're right---it's TORTURE not telling. I was afraid all day Saturday when I was with my brother and his girlfriend that I'd just accidentally shout "I'm pregnant!" in the middle of the conversation!!!
Another funny thing---went to a family party yesterday and my sister-in-law ended up coming back with us unplanned to watch a movie with me. I had taken another test that morning, and it was right on top of the garbage in the bathroom, so I made a plan to hit the bathroom right when we got home and cover it up. My husband had to use it first, and when I went in, there was this HUGE wad of unused toilet paper on top of the garbage!! I laughed and asked him after if he did that, and he said "Yeah!" So I guess we were thinking alike on that!
So basically, all I think about all day is....I'm pregnant. So far, I have done NO work today!!

Yep, I felt that dazed feeling before! Nope, no need at all to worry about not having any ms (morning sickness) yet! It usually doesn't hit until 6 weeks or so and not everyone gets it, even if your mom did but because your mom did you are more likely to get it! It takes a little while for the hormones, hcg and progesterone, to raise and thats why you get the ms! Right now, just be sure to stay really hydrated. In my experience, there's nothing thats going to take your mind off it so just try to go with the flow! I know its hard to be "normal" and work when all you want to do is dance around singing "I'm pregnant!!!!!"

I feel better based on what you said. I mean, it would be great if I didn't get morning sickness, but I'm prepared for it and willing to deal with it if I need to.
I always try to drink lots of water but I will try especially hard now!!

Congrats~ My mom had such bad episodes of morning sickness that she had to quit her job! Luckily enough my dad was able to support us all. When I was pregnant with my son, I had no morning sickness at all, not once. I did not have any symptoms except for my missed period. Hopefully you will be lucky to and be spared the morning sickness adventures. We are TTC and I am so afraid that I was too lucky with our first that I am going to have all that good stuff this time:)

Keep us updated on your progress!

THAT WAS FAST!!!!

Congratulations, Ginger! I know you must be thrilled. It is hard to not spill the beans to everyone you know. At least you can come here and "talk" about it---and we will keep it a secret!!!

I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy and a beautiful, healthy baby!
