Drum roll please...

1) Pelvic Floor Syndrome

2) Vulvodynia

I was for the 1st time (though I'd diagnosed myself with this...it doesn't count) diagnosed with a 3)autoimmune disorder. THIS is why, according to the doc, I have rashes and welts that come and go.

And IC on the way.

The doc told me I can NEVER deviate from the IC diet.

Surgery the 26th of Jan. Will be put out with generalized anisthesia. Possible biopasies of legions during procedure and catheter to wear home.

I am being given an antihystamine for the rashes. I am HAPPY about this! At least I know why now, y'know!

This doc rocks...spent over an hour with me! Explained things. Believes diet is KEY! (But there are other things too...some of them not so nice.)

Still in gobbs of pain. Have lots of charts the doc gave me to keep track of foods, pain, acidity, and such.

I'm overhwlemed! Busy day y'know Def glad I found such a good doc! That's for sure. NOT happy to have so many new Dx to add to my name. (Even though I suspected them...it's NOT cool having them confirmed. Can't I be wrong?!)

P.S. Am having the ultrasound for endo. done at the hospital the day I have the pre-op surgery. Could actualy be a total of 5 Dx when all is said and done. And lets not forget the thyroid nodule that they keep checking for cancer....

Oy.

Long day. No chocolate for this gal. Must find new fix. Any ideas?

Please send all ideas on how to have fun and forget new diagnoses to Ruchie

And don't forget those gentle hugs you have to share

Ruchie, OY! That's a lot to deal with, I grant you, but we're here to help! And help we WILL.

You know what I'm gonna suggest, don'tcha? DON'TCHA!? One guess. Here's a hint: how's that slip knot?

I SOOO can't help you with Pelvic Floor Syndrome, Vulvodynia, IC, rashes, etc. I'm having enough problems just trying to figure out the IBS crap! Oy.

No chocolate, eh? Okay, how about JACK DANIELS?!?

OR -- how about a HUG? {{{{{{Hugs}}}}}}}}

On the bright side, you have what sounds like an awesome doc to treat you!

I think the knitting is a great idea (still haven't found the time to get supplies and teach myself, though I want to). How about buying yourself some flowers? Reading a new book or watching a movie is what I do when I'm fibro flaring (and don't have schoolwork to do) and need to forget the pain a bit.

Here for you if you need me, sweetie. Don't hestitate to let me know if you need ANYTHING!

Well, its great to know what's wrong adn it sucks to know something is really wrong! I really feel for you and we will all be here for you to help you get through it. I don't know what Pelvic floor syndrome is - sounds like something purely muscular? If so I may have some ideas for you when you get through the surgery, I'm guessing that one's not the priority right now?

For now, I think you need some escapism - fun/or trashy novels, renting some of your favorite movies, something that is just fun and mindless and can take your mind off of things for little bits of time. I'm sure the knitting idea would work too, its probably kind of meditative once you get into it, but I'm thinking something that will just let you shut down for an hour or 2 here and there to rest your head!

Who do you have for support outside of your husband? - It would be nice if you have any family or friends who are close, and could both see you now and help get your mind off things and maybe be there for support during your surgery - I mean someone who will help you and your husband out a little with making some meals or doing a sink full of dishes for you. It will be nice if you can have support right now, and also know that you don't have to worry about any of the little things. Oh this sounds like it will be hard, but hopefully by the end of this month, you will be telling us how much your symptoms are relieved!
Take care of yourself, Dan

Goodness, Ruchie, you sure have a lot on your plate, little lady! Well, hon, stay as close to God as you can and pray till the cows come home. Listen to some uplifting, soothing music and relax as much as possible.

I would definitely try to find some things to keep me occupied. Movies, reading, crafting.
Big hugs to you, sweetie.
Terri

Diagnoses are GOOD, aren't they? Glad you've finally got somewhere and have a good doc.
