Just wondering what people do for fun!?!? I'm trying to find some new hobbies, and I'm looking for ideas.

Unfortunately I don't have a ton of time.. but new ideas are great to keep in the back of my mind.

My current hobbies are..
Cooking/Baking
Decorating
Dancing
Reading
Football aka the Steelers

What are yours..

Oh, let's see...

Knitting/crochet/woodworking/other crafts
Cooking & baking
Hiking
Camping
Football aka the Patriots
Yard sales/thrift store digs
Reading, sometimes
Gardening
Photography

I think there's more, but those are the biggies anyway.

reading
watching movies
playing with my cat
baking/cooking

I have a candle-making set Mac gave me last Christmas I still haven't done anything with, as well as a few sewing projects that aren't finished....unfortunately being a student gets in the way of me being as crafty as I'd like!

Does reading count?

I really don't have many. I used to fence in the SCA, but that's fallen by the wayside in the last year or two.

Every now & then, I think I should get a hobby because I am surrounded by folks who have multiple hobbies. Then I get all cynical and think about how there's no room to store stuff in this tiny crammed-with-stuff house, how I'm not very crafty, and who really needs or wants another handmade whatever anyway?

Heh. Maybe cynicism is my hobby.

I like to make jewelry with swarovski cyrstals and nice seed beads, although I haven't done much of it lately. I would be more than happy to give instructions and provide a few good web sites to order from if you are interested in learning. I also like to garden in the summer and I've just gotten into scrapbooking in the last year or so! Now, I'm all about my new puppy, Harley!

I also enjoy:

cooking
cross-stitch
sewing
plants (mostly houseplants and such)
my kids!

Suzy homemaker stuff...I love homemade things, I love the idea that people care enough to spend time on something specifically for me. I also enjoy giving homemade stuff but know it isn't for everyone.

My daughter has a family tree assignment and I have really enjoyed researching our family tree. There have been some really funny revelations....one is my father doesn't remember the names of his grandparents! I don't think I would make this a full-time hobby but I have had fun helping my little one with her project.

ooh I want to learn how to garden, but I live in the city in a condo. Hopefully someday i'll learn when I move away from here. I tend to kill every plant i've ever owned though. My mom is a fabulous gardener with an amazing garden. I'm hoping she'll give me tips when the time comes.

Scrapbooking actually seems fun. Maybe I should try that when I get more time.

I haven't done much lately but I do most yarn arts except tatting. I have never seen it done so can't seem to get the hang of it. I wish I had a pic of the fillet crochet christening gown I made out of thin thread. I made a lot of sweaters etc. when the nieces were small.
I also paint, made and decorated wedding and birthday cakes, used to make jewelry, used to make my own clothes, all kindsa crafty stuff. Now I stay on my computer all day.

Well, if your condo has a balcony or porch, you can start with a few container plants! If you want a good house plant to start with thats easy, try a philodendron.

Scrapbooking is fun and very addictive! You can spend a lot of money without trying but you can also make great scarp book pages without all the fancy stickers and do- dads! Lana Marie opened her own scrapbook store so she would be a great one to get ideas from!
