I've never been good at reading directions in a book and trying to copy it. I just get more stressed....which is not good for the tummy!.

I do better with a "live" person showing me. Where did you find a class? The park disctrict or a yarn shop or something? My community college doesn't offer it.

I picked up my size 8 needles and started a dishcloth for grins just to see if I would be happier with my stitches and I am.

Did you change sizes of needles? Is one size better for the tension problem? And what is grins mean?

Mags...how long have you been knitting and how succesful have you been?

I have not knitted anything since last winter. So far I've only completed 2 projects. I think I started 2 years ago? Or was it 3? I do know I didn't finally complete an actual project till last winter. A dishcloth and a scarf. I go through phases though. Now I'm into rubber stamping and quilting. I'm sure I'll get back into knitting eventually. So many hobbies, so little time!

Hi Sweetie,

I'm on my way out the door (to my first Weight Watcher Class! Yaaay me!) -- but as soon as I get back, I'll e-mail you. It'll be awhile, though, 'cause I have to go through "orientation" after the meeting. But I won't forget you when I get back, I promise.

I hope you're feeling better?

Unfortunately I'm not feeling much relief. I'll just call this day a total write off!

I have yarn and needles, thanks to Casey! Just can't get started.

I used size 10.5 needles for Ashley's scarf and I think that is what made the tension seem so "off". So I changed needles sizes to see if I would be happier with my work.

"for grins" means..."for kicks"..."for the heck of it"...it might be a southern term or one I just made up myself. I have no idea.
