DC and NY are both getting down to 14 degrees tonight...!

We washed the dog yday, so I kept him in last night (in case he was still wet). I want to keep the dog in tonight, but he wants to stay out and protests if I try to tug him back in the apartment!

Huskies love the cold weather, but I just don't feel right about having him sleep outside, although he loves it on the sofa on our balcony. He has a comforter to keep him warm but I still worry!

I am for sure staying in!! It's already like 25 degrees out!

Cold here in Philly too! 24 right now, hasn't been above 30 all day, hasn't been out of the 30s in days. I only walk into campus in the mornings, take the shuttle home in the evenings because it's just too cold once the sun goes down!

It was about 14 degrees (minus 10 for my Canadian, UK, EU peeps) this morning. Not a fun walk to the train this morning! Lucky for me, I will be driving to Long Island for the rest of the week in the comfort of my own vehicle!

Mel, my asthma has been so bad because of the cold that I have to keep a shawl wrapped around my face to keep from breathing the cold air. It SUCKS not being able to take a deep breath!

Are you on winter break yet? Good luck on finals--

YEAH! My Asthma sucks in this weather, then again it sucks in summer when it is 90 degrees with 100% humidity... I can't win!

LOL! You're already doing farenheit to celcius conversion! You're going to be multilingual in no time and leave us in the dust, LOL!

Stay inside is what I say!! My car heats up quick, thankfully! (I also have a big red fleece blanket I got in Vermont in the front seat, too, to throw over my knees while everything gets warm! Maybe that's a girl thing!)

Yeah, mine's been acting up lately too. It's the wind that makes it really bad, and it's like living in a wind tunnel up here.

Almost on break, two finals on Thursday and a grad school app to finish. Not much of a break though, as I have to be on campus to either be at work or in the lab working on senior design most of it. Mac and I are headed down to my parents' the Thursday before Christmas until the day after Christmas, so that's my "break" from having to physically on campus. Thanks though, Nelly! How're you feeling, btw?

...barely more than a week ago, I have not bothered going outside much. It's too brrrr.... It's so funny, but I associate going outside with smoking a cigarette (without a jacket on) as I cannot stand the stink indoors.

Warped.

I think we were in the low 70s today... Then again, we don't get four seasons.

until you experience WI weather just over a week ago. The high was around 10 degrees. My kids couldn't go outside for recess. They were a wild bunch of boys after school!!!!

Just kidding around - I know most of you know what very cold weather is like.

I remember Idaho Falls in '88... 70 below with the windchill.

I've decided I just hate ALL weather! Hate the heat and hate the cold! I'm just an indoor kinda girl I guess.

Hawaii would be a great place for you live. You don't need air conditioning or furances. That is my kind of weather.

Personally I will take cold over hot any day. We lived in TX for 3 years and I hated the heat!!!

Yeah, the heat makes my stomach go out. Cold is a little easier for me to manage, but I've got to get this asthma thing under control!

Every time I take a breath in the cold I cough uncontrolably! I closed the door and locked it for my BF, who was taking out the dog, and I got a coughing attack just now. It was so bad the only thing I could do was hunch over the kitchen sink and gag and spit. Se-xy!

I'm with you guys. This weather sucks for asthmatics. And Winter hasn't even officially begun yet... shudder.

Mid CA may be a good place to live. You need to get out of that cold with your asthma.

Or you can do the Michael Jackson thing and wear a mask in public. Hee Hee

I NEED one of those masks! Like Michael, I wouldn't have to make up my nose for that reason, either. Tee heee.

standing at the bus stop with my boys in a skirt!!! I was freeeeeezing. I do have a long coat but it was so bitter that it even hurt to breath the cold air!

We are supposed to get a mess tomorrow with rain, snow, sleet and then all rain by Friday. I SO HATE WINTER!

I got our winter provisions at the food store today. I made sure to get lots of "distraction food" for BF so he wouldn't touch my stash of IBS-friendly stuff, LOL!

I got a lot of canned stuff and fresh bread, eng muffins and dark chocs I can live on. I got 3 kinds of cheese too so any hungry boyfriends poking in the fridge wouldn't look too much further to find the secret stash of *sounds muffled (sounds like "cookie dough")* in the waaay back.

I'm such a chicken driving in ice/snow weather so I've already told hubby he's driving me into work tomorrow! I will worry all day what I'd be in for on the way home so it's just better I stay off the road and he take me home!!!!

Hopefully by Friday it will be all rain as predicted. Hubby and I have a shopping day planned. Shopping, lunch and just a nice time while kids are in school. Hopefully tummy behaves that day! Ughhh don't you hate when you have to worry about darn tummy!!!

Anyway, GO REDSKINS! If we win this weekend it will look mighty good for us! Also, the pro's have picked the skins to win. We'll see!

I'm having lunch with a friend out on Sunday to watch the game. It's gonna be NUTS here in MD! It's so rare to see a great Redskins game (ie One We Might Win ), the whole state is going to be backseat quarterbacking Monday morning!

Ugh, it's raining freezing rain now, and I'm worried about my BF coming home from work OK in his 13 year old civic. There's already a sheet of ice in our parking lot!

I'm just going to turn up the heat and cozy up to a warm dog and glowing tv set. Ooo, Battlestar Galactica!
