NOW, I am intrigued.

My ex-smoker fingers need something to PRE-OCCUPY them. Like you, I could never learn from a book without a huge migraine and enough frustration to make me give it up.

I suspect that some courses will be starting up in January.
This has potential. Honestly, these fingers need something "zen" to do. (At least that's how Julia Robert's thinks of it!)

Stitch & bitch. I love it.

Kate.

I taught myself to knit 1963, and have been knitting since. I tried lessons but they didn't help me.

However, that's not to say they wouldn't help you. Give 'em a try.

Check out the record player in the background! My kids wouldn't even know what that was!

Don't forget, I was only 19 when that pic was taken.

About that record player ..... I still have all those records! But wait! I also have all my 45s, can you believe it? (Do you know what they are?) And, with all of them, I have their sleeves as well. They're in mint condition. Just think, when I die, some stranger will look at them and wonder, "What the hell ARE these things...?!"

if you need a specific pattern, I'll look for one I've made.. it isn't adjustable, but was listed in multiple sizes, though guage is a big deal on mittens, more so then sweaters almost!

I use to buy them for .99 at our local record store. Isn't that a hoot?

My dad once bought us a Peter Frampton album when my sisters and I were in high school. We were more the Christopher Cross, Barry Manilow, Bee Gee's type...oh the memories!

I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a basic instruction book because I don't know what the heck a "K' or "P" is...it comes with easy projects so I may be knitting sweaters by this time next year....or....have holes in my couch because I got frustrated and stabbed my couch with the needles!

I looooooove that pattern for the crocheted sweater but that is way beyond my expertise!

Thanks for the encouragement...I am excited!

This is what I bought...the instruction book (very basic) comes with the dishrag pattern. I am tired so I don't dare try tonight...I really like my couch ...I have rolled my yarn into a ball though!
