I wonder how she's making out being a new mom? Probably sleeping as much as she can

I got a quick email from her yesterday, so I know she's still alive. I'm giving her a call tomorrow, and I'll be sure to let her know that you were asking about her!

I know being a new mom consumes pretty much all of you and she probably doesn't have much time to herself! I thought we'd be hearing soon from her.

P.S. LOVE your Happy Holiday's cartoon. It's adorable!

I just opened an email from her with some pictures of the new baby! She didn't say much else, I'm sure she is super busy!

Yes, mommy-hood has been very busy for me! I never get time to do anything, not even brush my teeth .

Things have been going fairly well. I finally got Kyra to latch on, however, it's only when I use a shield (rubber nipple). She's a good eater, but she's not gaining the weight that she should be, so now I'm feeding her every 2 hours (which makes for an even harder time to get anything else done). It seems like as soon as I get her back to sleep (I usually have to wake her up to get her to eat), I'm waking her up again to feed her again. Kyra is also very very demanding of me, so I barely even get any time without her in my arms (she screams when I put her down even when she's fast asleep).

Even though things are a little tough, I wouldn't give her back for the world. I love to just sit and look at her. I could look at her for hours and never get bored. I still can't believe that I gave birth to something so wonderful. I think once she gets a little older and is able to be entertained by objects, life will be easier for daddy & me. At this point, she's starting to pay attention to certain things and study them, but she still doesn't have the capability to "play" with anything.

Thanks for thinking of me Lisa! I don't get online much anymore, so I'm sorry for taking so long to get back to you! Usually if I do, it's when daddy's home, and I'm trying to do 20 other things as well.

I hope you and everyone else on the boards are doing well, and that you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Happy Holidays everyone!

Hang in there! The first three months literally go by in a haze. After that, you'll be able to get some decent sleep, and the baby will be hopefully less demanding.
Every stage is exciting - enjoy every second of it because before you know it... they're grown up!!!!
