Up here in Canada we're having our first big winter storm and it's cold. We are supposed to get 6 inches of snow which is nothing compared to some parts of Canada! Brrrrr.....

Now it feels like winter.

That's awesome! I would like to see snow down here in Atlanta, but it's not going to happen any time soon.
I'm jealous!!
Happy Thanksgiving!

It's snowing and blowing so bad I don't think I could get out of my driveway if I tried! Thank Goodness Liam doesn't have to go to school today (he's every other day). We're staying in our PJ's and having an "indoor" day. I hope hubby makes it home from TO tonight!!!

It's funny I've been wished a Happy Thanksgiving by many today. Canada celebrates our Thanksgiving in October!

Don't be jealous, it's not good driving weather!

Sorry ya'll! Kate just told me that.....I have noticed that the boards are dead except for all you Canadians!! hehehehe

Well, I will probably be on the boards all day with all you canadians, because I don't have any family around to visit and the hubby is sleeping the day away. There's not anything good on TV, either!!! So, I'm bored out of my mind.......and lonely.......just wanting to chat so I don't feel so alone.......

In fact, it is really sunny here today. Very weird.
They have predicted that we might not get any snow here this year, which kinda sucks because I like a white Christmas, but is kinda good 'cause I don't like digging my car out.

Hee hee.

Cheers,

A bunch of my friends and I were supposed to drive to Toronto from London today - well, we got to Woodstock (which is just outside of London) and that took us an hour! The conditions were so bad - whiteouts and slippery roads. We saw so many accidents... we just decided we didn't want to be one and turned around and came home. Oh well.

So yup, it's officially winter! I drove home from my friend's house (skidding all the way) and now I'm not leaving my apartment - with hot tea, cozy sweaters and blankets - until I have to tomorrow morning. Happy winter everyone! (groan, lol)

Okay, I'm not jealous anymore (of all the snow)!! Sorry you had such a horrible drive! It's sunny and about 65 degrees down here....very pleasant weather. But, I would like to see snow.....don't wanna drive in it, though!! hehehehe.
Good Luck in the morning (Retrograde)! And I hope your husband (Alicia) makes it home tonight, safe and sound!

I'm here with Michelle! I'm feeling a little alone and want to chat too!

I went to church this morning, which was a wonderful service, giving thanks with many others.

But now, it's starting to sink in that I'm alone for the rest of the day. I hate being single and childless and sick. But never more than on the holidays.

We have six inches out here, and the river is starting to get frozen!

I love snow, but the fluctuating temperatures aren't too great.

I am supposed to head to Michigan tomorrow for Thanksgiving and I will not be going anywhere if it is anything like today. I looked into the train to Sarnia but the layover in London is quite long. Umm a 5 hour trip instead of 1.5 in my car, no thanks! although I love the idea of trains, hello bathroom if I am having an attack. There are absolutely no rest stops between London and Sarnia, been there many times!
glad you chose the safe way out Laurel!

Yep, you're very right there. It does rain a lot here, especially this time of year. Surprisingly, we have had a load of fog lately and the rain could wash it away but we haven't had what we expected in rain.

I can't really find the rain depressing anymore, or I'd be sad all the time. Hee hee.

Cheers!

And this is a big deal for us. We hardly ever get snow...and NEVER in November! I LOVE the snow.

It's so cold atm tho...our central heating would have to choose THIS week to break down.

That sucks!! Our heat only turned on one time this year when I first turned it from AC to heat......then it broke down....so, we just bought some space heaters to get us through until we can get ours fixed. These little things can throw out some heat......they're not too shabby!!

At least I'm not freezing.....it's about 68 degrees in here. Well, in the bedrooms and office. It's about 50 degrees on the other side of the house!!! I try not to go over there, too much!!

I hope you guys can get your heat fixed soon. Especially if it's gonna snow!! It's not quite that cold down here in Georgia. I wish......I would like to see snow this year.

So what did you buy at the mall yesterday? I need ideas for mom, and young teenage nieces and nephews (11 and 14 year old girls and a 12 year old boy and a 7 year old boy! Impossible!

Hey there!

I bought all Tommy's gifts which I'm afraid I can't post here because he'd peek. I bought my brother a long sleeve t-shirt, my SIL some bath stuff, my MIL a knitting book, etc.

I did really well but carrying all my heavy bags up 3 floors to my apartment was "challenging". ha ha

just a tad bit on Thanksgiving morning! I dreaded it coming. It was gonna mess up all our plans of going to Philadelphia to be with relatives! Well it ended up melting by the mid morning so we were ok. But still.....why I hate snow! Your lives revolve around it in the winter. HATE IT! Today did feel like winter though. It was only 28degrees when I left for work this morning!

The plumber failed to show AGAIN today so Si went out after work, bought the parts and did it himself! There were a few cries for help when water was leaking everywhere but he got it done without ruining the carpet and it WORKS. It is warm upstairs AND down now which is a real treat...and we have hot water! I'm off to have my first proper bath in days soon.
