My husband served in the Army, and he misses it too! But, like you, he chose his family first. We spent a wonderful 5 years on active duty, but it was time to rejoin civillian life. He still calls everyone "civillians" just like it was a disease! I keep telling him he is one! Ha! Ha! Military is a truly unique lifestyle!

Did it help your GI problems too? Or just the Fibro? I don't have fibro but am wondering if a dry climate might help the GI distress?

Thanks!

Cyndy,

Sorry, I didn't see this before...To be perfectly honest, my GI problems and my fibro are so interrelated that I really don't think I can answer this objectively for you! My fibro improves drastically in the dry climate...and therefore my IBS doesn't act up as much....but to say whether the weather has a direct impact on my IBS?? No clue. I DO know that this weather is great for people with all SORTS of ailments. I.e. allergies -- I didnt even realize I had allergies until I went to NC, and was PLAGUED by them!

Sorry I can't be of more help regarding this

Yeah man, the BIG APPLE rocks. I have done a lot of traveling in my life, in the South and the West but nother ever compares to my city. Yup, another NY quality, arrogance!

The cost of living is so high, including rentals and homes, isn't it. Plus, the cost of everything in general is high. Plus, the job outlook isn't too hot either.

If it weren't for those two factors, I'd seriously consider moving to NY! I just don't know how people can afford to live there.
